Is anyone applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program 2015? I applied for Fall 2014 with 37 points and will be applying for Spring 2015 with 38 points. Does anyone have pointers for the application process? Has anyone gone to the limited entry workshop? I have been discouraged, and need some uplifting information.
@kaybah_jenae is my confidential patient prescription history and a copy of my prescription good enough if I do test positive, do you know?
Yes it is. it just needs to start pharmacy, prescribed drug, dose, doctors name, and dates prescribed for each med. it needs to b a 6-12 month history.
I saw on the csn nursing fb page someone say they do random checks, what does that mean, I mean does the syllabus tell us what to bring in each class, are we supposed to bring everything every time we have a lab or clinical, do we have to bring all our books and supplies everywhere we go?

It states in the student handbook on page 10 that they will do random tests if there is "reasonable suspicion" and it goes in more depth as to what that means, so I would just re-read the handbook. I wouldn't be concerned about it! I would also think the syllabus will give us more of an insight as far as what books we'll be reading (chapters) and what to bring to class, I certainly hope we don't have to haul all of those books around all the time-haha!
Not that anyone would care if they already got in, but does anyone know how many alternates there are and when they start making decisions. I've heard several different things and not sure which to believe. I got in as an alternate and so far i'm in the dark about it all. I called the office but they're closed from the 12th til the 17th (which is tomorrow).
I am freaking out as well, same issue as you... Not wanting to shell out all the money for all the things we need to get done if I only have to reapply... I was told by one person, there were only 15 alternates and most get accepted, then I was told they didn't know how many... I was told you could get a call up until the day before classes and must have all of your paperwork and testing ready just in case. Different story every time I speak with a different person, but that is kind of the MO for nursing programs, isn't it? I learn more from other students than I ever learn from program people. :)

You'll be fine. I took diphenhydramine last night because I had an allergic reaction to my friend's cat but I have a prescription drug I take too so I'm worried about that. I went to the pharmacy and got a copy of my prescription and my confidential patient history. So I hopw that's good.
