I did notice that probably a good 80% of all the required books (not just bundle ones) were available for rent which changes the price dramatically!
I was able to find a bundle with the fundamentals book (which I really wanted to get new instead of used) and the video skills on amazon which changed my price dramatically. In the end I will pay $563 for ALL of the REQUIRED books. about 70% will be new and 30% used. All books are exact editions & years.
p.s. I will also be receiving like a $100 rolling backpack as a xmas gift also lmao 

On the topic of christmas, I reallllllllly hope I get gifted with supplies! :yes:

How do we sign up for it? There isnt anything in my packet on how to obtain health insurance and im uninsured.

You are required to bring in your insurance documentation January 16th to your advisor but it also needs to be uploaded with all your other stuff in certified background before then.

Lol I know right! I added all my supplies and books to my amazon wish list just for my husband. I told him forget the list I gave you last week...I don't need a couch purse anymore I need uniforms and hemostats haha #NursingStudentProblems ??

Where do we get our insurance from? I know that the school has its own group insurance thing or something like that for people who do not have insurance.

That I do not know. I luck out and have insurance thru my husband's job so I'm covered.... sorry. I would just call the nursing program next week and ask.

There's a girl selling her used books (she gave up on nursing) for $400 on fb page csn nursing 2015-2016. I'm sure she will negotiate the price.

Soooooo, does anyone know if they will open any more slots for any of the toolbox classes??? By the time I got home to register on Friday, all were full. Did anyone try to email the professor? Also, I am an alternate- for FT, was anyone able to verify how many alternates there actually are??? No one was quite sure on Fri...

I have dumb question hopefully someone might be able to clarify. I could not sleep the night before orientation (due to excitement :)) so I took 2 over the counter equate sleep aid pills. It didnt even cross my mind when I took my drug test that afternoon. However, I realized it today and googled the active ingredient on the label and it's diphenhydramine and it says that it can cause a false positive for pcp, meth or methadone. Its over the counter and the walmart knockoff brand equate. Now im freaking out because I did not tell them about it because it did not even cross my mind. Will they be able to tell the difference? Or am I gonna be kicked out and labeled a drug addict? im freaking out right now I called quest and they are closed until tomorrow.

9 times out of 10 the lab testing will be able to distinguish based on the level of the drug. so you should be fine.

if there are issues with any drug test, phone calls are made within 72 hours to the specimen donor letting them know what was found positive. they will ask you to just to provide documentation of whatever it is. if you don't receive a phone call you can always assume everything is good to go. Most labs do test over the weekend.
