CSN Spring 2015

Is anyone applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program 2015? I applied for Fall 2014 with 37 points and will be applying for Spring 2015 with 38 points. Does anyone have pointers for the application process? Has anyone gone to the limited entry workshop? I have been discouraged, and need some uplifting information.

Is the handbook acknowledgement all the papers under the purple sheet that was in our packet?

I mean for the cp check do we need to sign and scan all documents under the purple sheet in our packets?

dang i got ripped off on the tb test then :( i think im gonna call them and compare their prices with dr. matthews. Might end up going there to finish everything.

I think we should also consider the timing we do our tests before it expires at a certain time. If you do the CPR certification now, keep in mind that it expires 2 years from now. So if you take it this time, for example today, 11/19/2014, your certification would expire while you're still on your 4th semester.... It would be 11/19/2016.

I'm not really sure what date we will finish our fourth semester... But let's just say we graduate mid-December... So if you do the test maybe this mid- December, you have more days to save so that you don't have to renew it while you're still on your 4thsemester..... Same goes to your TB testing too... It expires after 365 days....For me, I Don't really want to look forward to be renewing my things in the middle of my semester.

I did my CPR certification with Prism, and they were pretty good. Very close to CSN too.

My main concern with getting a titer is that for some reason I won't be immune to whatever they test for, and I'll have lost the time I'd need to get vaccinated by Jan 15/16. Am I being a little paranoid?

If you think that it would be a greater possibility that you dont have thee MMR then you might not have enough time to take the TB after (in case you wanted to hold of on the TB so it doesn't expire before your semester ends nxt yr), as you would need to take two doses with 28. Days apart. However, if you take the TB 2step now while waiting for the titer results you should be fine. The latest you can take vaccines that are 2 doses (MMR) would be around the 10th of Dec.

its just one sheet under the purple packet..i called to verify because i was confused aswell.

Well I take it back, my acknowledgement paper got rejected from certified background, they said it was outdated which was the one they gave us at orientation, so I had to download the new one .

Drug screen receipt? Great, I didn't get anything back from Quest. And I didn't pay attention that was something that had to be scanned in.

the form they handed us when we left from picking our schedules, they handed me the employer and donor copy, you may be able to go back over their and pick it up, or just call the nursing dept and see if there is anything else you can do
