  1. I'm in my second semester of the nursing program....Some advise is...... take one day at a time, get a group of two or three people for study buddies, figure out what assignments you can do when you feel like you only have 2 brain cells awake and its 2am. When you think you can't do it, look at your classmates. Look at the person who is working full time and has 3 kids. Tell yourself "if they can do it, so can I!". If that doesn't work, look at your family and friends. They believe in you, now you just have to believe in you. If you already took it, review your pathophysiology. Finally, remember to take care of yourself, physically and emotionally. Good luck!
  2. Ok, so I had a moment. During the week I don't carry my purse, just a backpack. Somehow, my receipt ended up in the black hole also known as my purse. In my panic I overlooked it. YEA!
  3. Drug screen receipt? Great, I didn't get anything back from Quest. And I didn't pay attention that was something that had to be scanned in.
  4. Tired of stalking your mailbox? Just got off the phone with the School of Nursing. Supposedly the letters are REALLY going out this Friday(tomorrow). So, by Saturday or Monday we should know. Both acceptance and rejection letters will be mailed out. Good luck everyone!
  5. You can register for toolbox and it is okay. When the lady was reviewing the sheets with me and she said don't register for classes, I specifically asked if toolbox was ok to sign up for, and she said yes.
  6. Thank you for letting me/us know that this class was available for registration now. I had read about this class, but didn't even think to check on it-thought we would have to wait till after orientation. Now that I am REALLY interested in it, can anyone give me more details on what is covered?
  7. UNLV has a "special" tuition rate for their BSN program...
  8. thank you everyone for piping in with advice. Christina, I hadn't even considered the research aspect of an advantage of the BSN. Goingforrn....I think Christina was saying that CSN is less expensive than NSC or UNLV, not that the pay was different ADN vs BSN. NSC is petitioning whoever governs that kind of stuff to raise tuition rates almost double to the current rate for the BSN program starting fall 2015. Something to consider.
  9. Christina, have you graduated already? I have heard both CSN grads are highly respected and then I have heard that you absolutely need your BSN. I had one person tell me that her hiring manager PREFERS CSN people over the other schools. I have applied to both CSN and NSC. I still have 2 weeks to go to find out if I am accepted at NSC...but am torn. I am concerned about the pace and workload of going for the BSN. If I did the ADN, I still would get my BSN. But it is 2 years for ADN, 2 years for BSN(and a lot more work) What's your take?
  10. we have all worked hard to get to this point! Now, it's for real. We have a crazy, exciting ride ahead of us. Take your nap now, we are gonna need it for later!
  11. I didn't get to speak to the person calling, only got the message. Is the orientation the 14th AND the 15th AND the 16th or we attend on one of those days??
  12. Im in! Got my call while I was in class. Couldn't wait to get out to listen to the message:nailbiting:
  13. I just for the call. I'm in!!!!! Uhuuuu Congrats!!! What does your last name start with? I have 40 points and no call.....yet. I have to go to class in 1/2 hour. How am I going to be able to pay attention??
  14. Go to the School of Nursing, then click Registered Nurse program. On the opening page if you scroll down a bit you will see program requirements. Click that and it will give you a breakdown on the point system. Its all based on GPA and what classes you have completed. It's really easy to figure out. Good luck!
  15. Hi everyone, just joined. Fingers crossed, phones on.......and wish upon a star!
