Hello, everyone I'm new to this forum and I'm applying to CSN for Spring 2014. I was wondering if there are any other hopefuls out there?
The Reading is the hardest of the four. I have taken this test 5 times and know that there really is no accurate way of studying the TEAS. I have used all of the study manuals and practice tests available. It all comes down to memorizing the actual test questions and answers that you took because you may see that same exact test when you take it again. It's hard to explain but I struggled with the Reading the most because it is the trickiest. Never let the TEAS break you down emotionally. I know it's the biggest road block for the nursing program, but I let it get to me too deeply to the point where I separated myself totally from God for a time. Only God gave me the strength to keep going when I was so committed to giving up.
So... Finally the deadline is fast approaching, and the true waiting will begin.( I got my list of things to do to kill the time)But does anyone know if they are going to extend the deadline to the third because of the first being on a Sunday. Since they did extend the fall deadline to Monday for anyone that passed the sat. After march 1...

I think it will still be the first from what they said at the application workshop I went to. They are very strict on this. I had to make sure I had everything in perfect order when I turned in the application last month. They tell stories of how one little thing can totally deny your chances of getting in the program. It's heartbreaking to hear the stories and heartbreaking to think if a mistake will show in this application process. This is why I don't stop praying.
Are they going to send us an email to notify us that our applications have been received (like officially in the selection system)?
No, they don't send you anything. You can call the limited entry office on Tuesday to make sure that they have your app and that it's complete. The lady there is very helpful. After that, you will know nothing until the calls go out in the end of October.
It's a good thing you said that because I never thought about calling for confirmation. In the meantime of waiting until October, who here is getting their immunizations done? I'm going to the doctor to get my physical as well. It's a whole list of things we need and I want to make sure I get started on it early.

If you get it now, you will need to have it done twice before you finish. If you wait, you will only have to get one more time (that's of you're a full-time student. Both are good for one year only. Your hep a, varicella, tdap and those are good for the whole program though. Once you're accepted, I'll give you all a list of what you need and what you don't need :)
Does our application really have to be in a specific order? I've read trough countless Csn threads and never heard of that. I also didn't know about the waiver, but I did do both 100 and 120. I cant remember which math I put down. I'm getting a little worried now that one little mistake could completely ruin my chances.
Well I don't know if you went to the Limited Entry Program Applications workshop, but I went to 2 of them and they never mentioned about a specific order they just said to have the application and the checklist and everything on the checklist. I just followed the order on the checklist. As far as math goes, I also had both 100B and 120, if you wanted them to calculate your gpa using the grade for 100B I believe you needed a substitution waiver but if you wanted 120 calculated into your gpa , my understanding was that you had to write 120 under your math class on the checklist.
