Hey everyone I just wanted to start a thread for fall applicants. I dropped off my application today ♡♡♡♡ anyone else applying?
I know. I decided to buy them because I didn't want to be unprepared. Once you get the hang of it you can decide from there. But it's always best to be over prepared until you know how to manage things yourself. Yes. The lectures are all taught by reading ppt that are related to the book. I don't learn well with those either so I'd end up having to go home and teach myself.
Yes alternate State get it in a couple of my friends that have waivers for the kat test got in too
Perfect! Thank you... I have 36 points, but didn't pass the Kaplan because I got 55 on science an 80 on all the other subjects. I got a waiver, but nervous about applying or if I should take the test again. I really really really don't want to. It gave me horrible anxiety the first time. I'm applying for spring 2017 and also don't want to take the cna course over the fall. My counselor tried to scare me into retaking the test. I'd rather not and just use my waiver.
I am in the same situation for Spring 2017. I am meeting with the Dean on 6/7/2016. I may take the test again, but i what i want to know is, if i take the test again and don't pass, will my waiver still be good.
How does the application process go for those with a waiver? I have 36 points, also.
Are we pushed to the end, like an alternate or do we get to go with those at 36 points.
I cannot skip another semester.
My counselor told me that we get pushed to the end like an alternate because our applications are incomplete. I think I better call and get a second opinion. Then if there's available seats we get in. That's what made me scared. I can't wait another semester either. If you look at the application it now has a memo about the waiver, so I'm hoping they look at the waivers first. It did say that if we didn't pass the test we don't get to calculate those points into our overall points. I recalculated mine and I actually have 38 without the test. 39 with.
I think if you don't pass the second time you're still able to use the waiver. I asked the counselor the same thing and that was his answer.

Do you have time to take the KAT again before the 9/1 deadline? If so, I think you should just do that. From what I understand, the waiver would be a memo and would put you beneath EVERYONE else that doesn't have a memo. Although, then after everyone without a memo has gotten in, they will rank the memos from highest to lowest score and go from there. I have to have a memo on my BIOL 189 because it is 10 years old, but I found out yesterday that this is the only case they have an exception and I will not be put in the memo pile. It's frustrating to have 35+ points and still be at the bottom of the list. Kaplan test spots are filling up fast though, so get on it if that's what you're going to do.

Thank you! It's really hard to decide cause they cost so much. Did your professor give out PowerPoints? I am not really a big fun of studying with ppts cause they tend to confuse me.
