CSN FALL 2016

U.S.A. Nevada

Hey everyone I just wanted to start a thread for fall applicants. I dropped off my application today ♡♡♡♡ anyone else applying?

What did you guys submit with your applications? You don't need the background check yet, right?

Hi!! I just got accepted for Spring 2017 and I am a little worried about timing. When did you guys go through the background check, drug test, physical test and vaccines? Did you have to do all when you got the call or at the beginning of the semester. I have a trip planned and Im worried I won't have the time to do everything.

How long is your trip? Is it expensive? Have you paid for it already? Can you just go at another time?

My grandpa bought me tickets to visit them, my grandma had surgery a couple of days ago. It is just for a couple of days, but I get back just 2 days before the first meeting of the 3 dates I was given. I haven't gotten the instruction packet so I don't know if I need to have my vaccines, the physical, the background check and the drug test by the first meeting or by the 2nd or 3rd meeting on January.

Oh that's tough but at least you will be back.

How many points did you have and have you taken Bio 223, 224 and Micro (251)?

Hello,

I was thinking of renting the different books from the bundle. Did you end up using the online resources at all? It's the only thing holding me back from renting. Thank you!!!

I just graduated this semester. I rented all my books every semester from Amazon to save money. The books I found most useful I would look at buying at the end of every semester. From first semester I ended up buying Fundamentals, the Nursing Diagnosis book, and Pharmacology for sure. I don't remember what else. First semester books are useful in every semester of nursing school. Second semester and Third semester books I rented and returned except my Med Surg and pathophysiology books because you need those for 4th semester. Some textbooks have study guide books you can buy with them. I never used any study guides books because it didnt fit my study style. I liked to study from powerpoints, flashcards, do group sessions, and listen to lecture audios while handwriting notes.

Hope this was helpful. Good Luck!
