  1. OMG pregnant too!!! SMH well having a baby doesn't stop the world but the amount of studying and stress you could be under might not be all that healthy even for those not expecting.
  2. You are absolutely right!!! I am going to take the Bio 251 in the summer if offered. I tried to take it at NSC but you needed Chemistry 120 first Which I do not have. The deadline for March 1 nursing applications is for Fall admission (I think) so there will be time to take it in the summer. But my plan is to NOT take it during the nursing program. Also do you work or have a family? I have both so I was thinking about doing the extended track. While taking pre-requs I have been paying off everything so that if I needed to quit my job I can.
  3. Thanks for the info. I have 37 points without Bio 251. I am going to apply anyways. I really don't want to take Bio 251 with my nursing courses that is why I was going to try for the summer.
  4. Can you send me the persons name and contact info so I can schedule me an appointment as wel? How many points are you applying with? Do you have all the pre-reques done? I could not get into Bio 251 this semester so I will take it in the summer.
  5. Who are you meeting with and what is her name? I want to do that prior to turning in my application.
  6. Way to Go!!!! Are you still at Roseman? How is the ABSN going (if so). Also what was your GPA and TEAS score when you applied? I see that you have to have Chemistry and Stats but which one? Is it harder to get into the ABSN program than the regular BSN program?
  7. I would advise to check with the department or an adviser to ensure you are getting the correct information
  8. I have not taken the TEAS but have taken the Kaplan and that is very hard. I scored an 86% on the HESI and I am on the waiting list because I didn't make first draft pick (basically). I think the passing score is 75% but ask Liane Cammack she is an Admissions Counselor and is very helpful and quick to respond to emails even if you don't reach her by phone. They do take all science except I think Physics, but the rest is on there.
  9. How many points did you have and have you taken Bio 223, 224 and Micro (251)?
  10. Oh that's tough but at least you will be back.
  11. How long is your trip? Is it expensive? Have you paid for it already? Can you just go at another time?
  12. I am so glad to hear such positive reviews of Chamberlin. I went to the orientation about a month ago (Las Vegas) and took the HESI A2 last week and passed. I have all my documents in and will hear back next week if I get in or not. I was most happy about the fact that they will take most of my credits that I have been taking at another college. The campus is clean and in a good area. The technology that they use, we currently use in our hospital facilities (I work in the IT dept.) so they are very up to date. I am keeping my fingers crossed to get in. I am so nervous because I have been waiting for this moment so long.... I wish I could find out quicker LOL.
  13. background check info is located here: Health Sciences - Background Check Requirements for TB and health form: http://sites.csn.edu/health/pdf/TBSkinTestPolicy.pdf Health Sciences - Vaccine and TB Skin Test Information Physical Exam for that a Dr needs to complete on you : http://sites.csn.edu/health/pdf/physicalexamform.pdf
  14. What are the scores required for the waiver? I am taking 224 now. I just don't want to have to take 224 and 251 while doing nursing classes. I think to do so is an overload. Unless once you get in you don't have to take them? But I am not sure how that will work out.
  15. Good for you!!! I have put off nursing as well. My husband hit a rocky path in employment after we moved to Vegas. Later we began our family and I ended up on bed rest. Now,, I have 2 boys a 2yr old and a 6year old along with a FT job Tues-Saturday. I have to flex my schedule to got BIO 224 class. With the Bio class I will have 32 points. I am going to apply for the PT track. I hate the PT track will take about 2yrs... but this is my dream and what I want. I have been giving my family everything they need and want and now I have to get mine as well. Not being selfish but as a Mother that is how it is sometimes, at times we get put on the back-burner by our own doing or others. Whichever, I'm 40++ so time is not on my side as much as it was years ago, I got to get this done so that my dreams come true.
