Anybody who will be taking the CRNE on October 5, 2011, please post your comments and suggestions here like making a study group, sharing notes, meeting at the library or anything that will help the examinees pass the examination. Thanks!

Well I don't have a nursing job yet so is it better to just wait to register in 2012 and avoid paying twice?

You will need to register before Dec 31 for the 2012 year to avoid paying a late fee, if you're in ON. Other Provinces have different deadlines.

hi Jai jagadheesh

Its is easy to say Dont worry.. but my advice is please dont get depressed.. I wrote Crne last feb and failed for 2 marks...it was of course depressing but later on when I analysed my self I found that I did the exam without much preparation and I got strength from the thought that as an IEN without preparation if I can score near pass mark...of course I can do better with little more effort..and I did that in second time .. I PASSED...So believe in yourself.. you can do it....

if you need any help contact me

Hy,binutho, thanks for you advise and support,i am trying to move on,the problem is i am living ireland and spend lot of money of exam traveling visa etc,i got 6moths visa so i am planning to writ exam in February visa expiring on 6 of Feb,to apply it again cost me fortune.Last exam i prepared very well and know all the answers to but time betrayed me i couldn't get much time to finish,i left 50 questions unanswered.

good luck

I'm discouraged, I failed again on my second take got 103/114! I'm doing the best of my ability to study for almost 8-10 hours a day all the review books (CNA book & online, Lippincott, Mosby, NEI review questions, nurses2canada online exam. It didn't work! Maybe I need a review class. Maybe the information that I study was not up to date as CPR was changed from ABC (Airway, Breathing, Circulation) to CAB (Compression, Airway Breathing). I only learned this after the exam! I did it with self review. Can anybody recommend a better CRNE review class in Toronto?

Hey dont give up. It was my second time writing it too, thankfully I passed this time and I studied from every book I can find. I think the difference this time is I spent more time doing review questions then focus on detailed information. Try doing review questions I find the NCLEX ( its the American book for their RN exam) i find it to be more helpful than CNA book and there are several out there in all public library.

Hi Sweetnurse123,

When one fails under 10 points they do review your scantron sheet and do a hand-scoring but do not tell you. So it is not necessary. Good Luck.

You will be given an amount to pay which should be lower for 2011 and then you will have to pay for your new one for 2012.

I won't give up until I will take my last attempt and that will be on February 2012. See what will happen next, and decide if nursing is for me. Been studying at Ryerson U for 4 years and then this exam will hinder my profession. I will try my best, will take a 1 month (January 2012) leave from work, because I was working while doing review and be ready for February 2012 exam.

I hope they will show us when they do the correction. Because if you want your score corrceted the possibility is you will still fail. Why? It will be a long story and there will be gossips and bad image for CNO that they are not doing the right thing.

I just cannot believe it! You failed by 1 mark and you did not answer the 50 questions? Unbelievable!

I PASSED!!!!!! I studied and took a CRNE review at the Toronto School of Nursing. I'm so happy and just received the news. I'm from Toronto and am so relieved because I had failed twice. Another fail and I would be back to the drawing board. I can officially call myself a pediatric RN!! For all those who failed, don't give up! You can do it, just study study study. I bought the Mosbys and the Lippincott review books. If you can afford it, take a prep course. I actually took two of them, the three day one at George Brown college and the 10 day at toronto school of nursing. It helped me because it basically forced me to study. I was soooooooo stressed out before the exam, because I had failed twice already. Don't give up. :yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

it is true, this is my first time and i dint know the A,B,C, of CRNE exam(i am from Ireland),i thought,i need to write 1 point,2 point and 3 point answers because i was using old version book,i only come to know in exam when i opened question paper, there are only MCQ's.at the end of exam when only 10 minute remaining(they announce),i realized i have to complete 50quetions,i got panic and became stopper,my mind stopped working and my i could hear my heart beats racing,i tried to fill all the dotes but still i could not succeeded.

I am not insulting you but if you had answered the 50 remaining questions then you will pass, because you failed only by 1 mark answering 150 questions, so its 113/150, Am I right?
