hey,

It will be great if we can form a study group as soon as we can, so that we can go over system by system and do lots of questions together.

let me know what you think?

I hope lots of people will join us!

cheers,

crnefeb

wishing feb would come already!!! lot of pressure being an international nurse I think, have a lot depending on passing this!! But guess I have to put that aside on the day. anyone who sat the oct exam have any samples of Questions?

My email address is [email protected] if anyone can give me any tips or anything in particular they found difficult in the Oct exam.

Hope everybodys getting on well, would love to find a study group in Ireland but dont know anyone else here studying for the CRNE's!

these are excellent places to study. how about Toronto public library-Fairview Mall branch, closest intersection is Don mills and sheppard.

Toronto Reference Library would be fine.

okay, when would be our first meeting?

My friend and I both took a prep course with Toronto School of Nursing, but both of us failed.

I missed by 12 points. Now we don't know what to do. We used 2 review books, practice many questions.

I only have one chance left. Feel very helpless. I applied for rescoring my exam but CNO only mailed me another letter after few weeks showing "Fail". There were no other details. I don't know what went wrong. don't know what to do next.

wasnt the course helpful at all? as i am planning to take one after i failed the first attemp, i studied outside canada.

what are you planning to do now, and what do you advice me?

I took the one at the Toronto School of Nursing after failing twice and just got the good news I PASSED!!! I also took the one at George Brown College, but its only 2 days. They are very thorough and have a massive test bank that corresponds to the modules covered. I did study like crazy though on my own, cause I didn't want to take any chances. I honestly don't think I could have done it without them. Me and my friend live slightly outside Toronto and would car pool everyday and its right downtown. We both passed. :yeah::yeah::yeah:They also cost 750 whereas the other school I think costs a thousand. Check them out at www.torontoschoolofnursing.com. You have to put the effort into though and attend all the classes, cause theres lots of content. Good luck with your choice. Either way, I'm sure you'll do fine

i am doing the exam for the second time and i want to do one course, so which one you advice me i got 112 correct answer but the passing score was 128 on 5 oct 2011, and would you please email me on [email protected] thank you so much in advance

You can't take the Toronto School of Health to court over your negative experience because they have disclaimers all over their site saying that they do not guarantee anything. There have been numerous posts about their shady activity over the last two years. I personally have done several hours of research on them and posted all of my findings in several other threads. They are not accountable and are not ethical. Their primary raison d'etre is to separate desperate people from their money and judging from the posts here and on the October 5 thread, they're VERY successful at that! I would say that the posts from people who used their "service" and failed are running about 10 to 1 against the ones who passed.

If you can find a review course that is affiliated with a legitimate, recognized and accredited educational facility, by all means give them your cash. In the course of my research, the Toronto School of Nursing certainly appeared to be on the up-and-up. As with everything, let the buyer beware. Use those critical thinking skills we all need to be good nurses and consider all the facts before jumping in with both feet. you have too much invested in your education to waste your time on something that seemed too good to be true. Read the fine print. Read it out loud if you have to, but make sure you know what you're getting into!

do you know or advice any course that is affiliated with a legitimate, recognized and accredited educational facility, as i am from out side canada and i am coming to tornoto in mar 2012 and will do the june 2012 exam. i failed the oct 2011 one as my first attempt

i have sample questions and answers with rational, if anybody wants to share the samples please email me at [email protected]

All participants are required to sign a contract stating that they will not discuss the content of the examination, and that includes revealing questions from the exam. There are many sources of practice questions. You could look here, for example: https://www.nurses2canada.net/crnesampletest.php

Those of you planning to meet and form a study group are taking a very significant risk. This website is a publicly-accessible site that hosts thousands of unregistered "guests" a day. Anyone with Internet access can read anything and everything that has been posted here. No one from the site verifies identities of anyone, members included. You have no way of knowing if the people you're meeting are who they say they are, and you have no guarantee that you won't be mugged (or worse) outside your meeting place by someone who has read about your plans here. Please be aware that you're all involved in this at your own risk and allnurses.com will not be liable in any way for anything untoward that occurs.
