Published

Hello! anybody out there?!! :coollook:

I just received my confirmation to write the crne this February. I am now in desperation to get a review materials to study on. I am still in the process of acquiring the crne prep guide as this was what most of those taking the October 2009 CRNE but one thread says the shipping cost is far way too expensive. huhu

BUt however, the exam cost is to much to fail the test... so can anybody out there give tips? advises and how was it like? what to concentrate more?

Jan, our age is showing.

It's text speak. I guess kids today are so used to playing with their cells at all times they forget the keyboard on the computer. Either that or they are posting from Iphones or Blackberries and are trying to avoid too much in user costs!.

It's not an age thing, Fiona. It's a respect and professionalism thing. The Terms of Service are pretty clear:

While this bulletin board hosts visitors from around the world, it is based in the United States and much of our membership is English speaking. Due to our inability to moderate threads in other languages, we ask that interactions be in English for the enjoyment of as many posters as possible.

Please do not type entirely in capitals as considered shouting on the Internet! Desiring to maintain professionalism, text speak (also known as chatspeak, txtspk, texting language or txt talk) is discouraged. Along with using proper English spelling and punctuation, this shows respect for the owner, other bulletin board members & guests and makes it easier to read your important thoughts.

I tried to make a joke out of the use of text speak but I really am wondering how many of the posters have English as a second or third language. The grammar is just wrong.

I donot want to make an issue out of above posters.I agree with Fiona that grammer is important when you want to write proper and professional English.Slangs are not included in proper english.I am British but i still use abbreviations .Even in Nursing we use abbreviations. All i want to say is lets not make an issue of this and just help each other .

Thanks alot

well, congratulations to all of us. Keep on dreaming! Goodluck to those who are still waiting.
