Hey walkerrn,

Yes it is a good thing they interview earlier then later. The only application I know of is on nursing CAS.

Nurse RJ, awesome! My app says "verified" in nursing cas, will keep you all posted of any news! nothing today.

Hello Everyone,

I am calling myself ARNPtoCRNA here.

I am an acute care ARNP applying for the 2019 BSN to DNP CRNA program @ UM. In addition to having my MSN ACNP, I am also an experienced EMT-Paramedic and I hold an MBA with specialization in Healthcare Management. I work in a level 1 trauma center as an arnp. I have 8 years ICU experience as an RN plus an additional 2 years ICU experience as an LPN ( I was an exception to the rule, becuase of my EMT-Paramedic background ).16 years as an EMT-Paramedic. In was an ICU charge nurse before NP school . Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society , Actually finishing my last 3 classes for my BSN now . Figured I would do the 5 classes I needed to have it since my origin batchelors degree is not in nursing. Also half way thru law school (JD) Juris Doctor . I won't practice law , but I wanted to have the preparation. My passion is being a healthcare clinician.

Taking my CCRN exam in 2 weeks, I am also a board certified medical interpreter. BLS, ACLS , PALS

My graduate GPA is 3.30Plus in both the MSN and MBA. My BSN GPA is 3.67. My non-nursing bachelor's GPA was horrible! I wasnt applied when I was younger. I dont know when I finish submiting my application if I will be called for an interview or even accepted . But I wish everyone luck on this wonderful opportunity. I should be done with my application by Febuary 15, 2018 . I am only applying to the UM program. So if I dont get called by them to interview the journey to CRNA ends here. Keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck to all of you getting in !

Believe it or not I still feel I may not be competitive enough as a SRNA candidate. Lets see what happen ! :)

Hello ARNPTOCRNA! Welcome! You sound very qualified to me. Being an ARNP already will definitely give you an edge over the rest of the applicants. I wouldn't worry to much over the GPA as I was told they look at you overall. Best of luck to you! Hoping for best!

Thank you , NurseRJ . I wish you nothing but the very best in this process.

nice guys! awesome! we all sound very qualified! can't wait to see where this takes us all!!! :)

I also applied in December, just got an email stating that my application was received and is now under review.

Best of luck to everyone!

Hey Franky,

Same here just got that email as well! Same to you!

Same here.. I got the email ... hopefully will get the call soon , fingers crossed

That's a good sign, I should be done with my full application by February 15, 2018. Just finished putting in all of my classes from all of my schools except for law school because I am waiting for those transcripts I requested. OMG !!! It took me 2 days to put it all in !!! I think what will happen is they will place the current completed applicants into 3 groups. Highly Qualified ,Qualified and UnQualified. Depending on that and the numbers of the applicants , including how well they interview if called will be the deciding factors.

I think it will be 2 sets of applicants like I mentioned before Highly Qualified ,Qualified and UnQualified. Those that applied early . 1st group of Highly Qualified ,Qualified and UnQualified. And those in the 2nd group of Highly Qualified ,Qualified and UnQualified, that apply late in the process for whatever reason. I suspect they will be looking for people that fit in. Bottom like it is about fitting in. Sure its nice to have highly qualified , However you wouldnt want know it all arrogant smarta**ses that drive people away. In the end its all about being friendly and fitting in. After listening to all of your posts ,I would say you all have VERY good chances of getting into the 2019 UM DNP Class. I hope I and lucky as well. ArnptoCrna
