Published

Hello everyone,

I have started the application process for the BSN to DNP Anesthesia Track program at University of Miami that will start January 2019. It would be nice to know who else is applying to compare information, help one another, and start getting to know our classmates. Feel free to comment! :)

I got my official rejection letter on Monday.

Did you apply to any other schools?

I'm getting ready to apply to Barry. They're starting interviews in July.

I was accepted to this years cohort but decided to go with UM instead of Barry.

RNman you must be an really good candidate because both UM and Barry are "top" ranked schools in the US right

Specializes in Cardiac/medical/surgical ICU.

Congratulations on those accepted! Hang in there for those that are waiting I know the struggle is real! Good luck everyone!

has anyone called to see when they will be sending out acceptance/ denial letters??

Just spoke to Sean at office...says they do have applications under review still...including mine. They are planning on doing 1-2 rounds of interviews still....waiting on faculty to provide dates...than everyone will be notified either way....this wait!!

This suspense. Its awful. I am also waiting for an interview. My stats are great. So I think I atleast deserve a chance to interview. If they don't call me then I would be extremely confused by their selection process.

When did you apply?

Application submitted March 25. I feel like I'm at a disadvantage because I submitted so close to the deadline, although, I feel I should have equal opportunity. Why give that deadline?

there is only 30 slots and I think they admit an equal amount of candidates per interview rounds. So everyone has an equal chance to get in.

It sounds like the people who applied late in the process are still being invited for an interview so I don't think the late submission will hurt you.
