CRNA University of Miami starting January 2019

Hello everyone,

I have started the application process for the BSN to DNP Anesthesia Track program at University of Miami that will start January 2019. It would be nice to know who else is applying to compare information, help one another, and start getting to know our classmates. Feel free to comment! :)

I interviewed May 1st. Remember, every applicant is different. Some they may know for sure if it's a yes or no and others they may still be on the fence about.

I applied 3/28, got interviewed 4/30 and got the acceptance letter via email 5/16.

Hey guys,

Who is still waiting for a decision that interviewed 4/30 and 5/1? I was told that a decision hasn't been made on my application. I guess I have to wait until the next round of interviews are over. I applied right before the application closed and interviewed 4/30.

Hello, i am also waiting for a decision. To me this whole process is a bit confusing. When i interviewed they told us only 8 spots were available but now they are holding another round of interviews... some people that interviewed the same day we did already got their acceptance letter so im not sure, and then others who interviewed the same day got a denial letter. Everything is really weird and stressfull

According to UM, they are still going to call for interviews. To me, it seems like they are extremely selective and have a "type".

I dont know, they state in their requirements that 2 years of ICU is required yet I know of people that have one year exact of ICU experience and nursing as a whole and got accepted with that..... to me thats not being that selective that is just plain weird in my opinion and a little unprofessional.

I have no clue. They begin calling before deadline, even accept some students before deadline.... but alas the search continues! Maybe they get a lot of declined offers from students

Yes, it is a bit confusing. When I interviewed, they told me there were only 5 spots left. I'm not even sure why she told me this.
