CRNA University of Miami starting January 2019

Hello everyone,

I have started the application process for the BSN to DNP Anesthesia Track program at University of Miami that will start January 2019. It would be nice to know who else is applying to compare information, help one another, and start getting to know our classmates. Feel free to comment! :)

I have decided to Accept my admission offer to UM CRNA program. I guess Ill be joining and meeting all those admitted come next Spring, I am really excited. Congrats to all those accepted! Good luck to all those still waiting to hear back from UM.

Nope. We are going to have to stay patient with UM because they are extremely slow in this process.

Why did you choose UM over FIU? I seen on the other thread that you were admitted there too.

I interviewed April 30th, and have not heard anything yet.

I have heard that UM CRNA students have to compete for cases at UM's clinical sites with medical residents. Does anyone know this for sure or is there more than enough cases to go around at these sites?

Has anyone who has yet to be interviewed recieved an interview date? Those who were told they should be notified within a week or so?

Why did you choose UM over FIU? I seen on the other thread that you were admitted there too.

It was a difficult decision to make, but I have spoken to respective students/friends from each program and ultimately decided that UM would be a better fit for me.

I was told we would here something by end of month..latest first week of June...but nothing yet. They are supposedly waiting for faculty to get back to them regarding dates for interviews.
