Credibility of online prereq courses?

Some colleges dont even accept online classes because they are viewed easier.

Make sure the school you're taking the classes at are accredited. All but my science classes have been taken online.

It depends on the school you're applying to and if the online courses are through an accredited college. I got into one of the top BSN programs in my area and I took a number of online classes including nutrition, microbiology, stats, writing, and upper division electives.

Where did you hear this? There's no way for a school to know if you've taken the course online or on campus. It's not on your transcripts. What an odd comment.

It absolutely is on your transcript- well at least it is on mine. My transcript includes the course number in it, and if you took it online it reads DE and if you took it in class it reads RL. How is this an odd comment?

I took several online and hybrid courses through my community college. There was no issue with them transferring when I applied to schools, including DE-MSN and ABSN programs. The only thing to watch for is that some schools require the lab component of science courses to be in-person. Usually this can be done with a hybrid course (online lecture, in-person lab) I did that for chemistry and it was fine.

I've never heard of a notation like that before, or that schools would consider those courses easier. It was odd because it wasn't anything I've ever heard before.

I took several pre-requs online from a very respected college. They are known to use lockdown browsers and proctored tests. My pre-reqs were never questioned by the bridge program I got into, or the university I am attending, which I also take online courses at.

Also, the fact that my classes were/are online is not notated on my transcripts for either college.

I don't agree with this, sorry. The nursing school I'm applying to is more than happy to take online classes for the pre-reqs. Everyone I've spoken to has held the online classes in very high regard.
