CPNE preparation for Excelsior clinical

I am a recent graduate of Excelsior schol of nursing, and have also successfully passed state boards. I found so many woderful people who helped me through this extremely difficult endeavor. I have a friend who is now preparing for the CPNE, and I have decided to do a mini workshop for him. As a way of giving back, I am considering asking others to join us. No charge. Just a way of giving back. No date set as yet. Tentatively, a Saturday in April. I live in Ohio. If interested, please reply.

Congratulations:yeah: Im a recent graduate from Hohokus school in Ramsey NJ. IM waiting to take my state Boards and hopefully by June I can start excelsior College. Im so excited and cant wait to start.

Question regarding medication! When giving insulin- Do you aspirate before?? Do you rub after?? Some say yes Some say no!! I thought you could rub, but not aspirate? Thanks

Currently, the ADA suggests that you shouldn't aspirate before giving subQ insulin, so the study guide says it is not a point of failure if you do not aspirate.

According to my drug book, it says to press on the site, but don't rub. I'm sure other drug books might say something else. LOL
