I have seven weeks until CPNE. Need some cheerleading, please!
Practicing my labs, putting together care plans, charting, re-reading the manual... Trying to remember mneumonics and a grid. Someone tell me again that this is possible, hehe.
Where did that little cheerleader smiley go to?!

I am envious to say the least. You are sprinting towards the finish line, keep your eye on the prize, you can do it. Study in bursts and then give yourself hours or a day or two to absorb and then build on that knowledge. Don't forget to shower yourself with love and care so you can do your best at your test. I could go on if you would like.... just send me a note if you need encouragement. If you want to be accountable to someone we can send daily texts to "check in" I am still in my LS exams but I still need my daily motivation.
P.S. oh, are you doing a workshop?? I am going to be trying to test about 8 weeks after I complete everything else and I've been thinking about how a workshop would fit into such a short CPNE prep schedule...

Good luck...
Thanks!
@MsPC, yes I took a workshop. I highly recommend!! You can schedule a workshop before you are done with your exams. What part of the country do you live in?

Any details on how the workshop has helped you so far K? Did you say you were going to do one more too? There are none near MN that I know of. Just keep thinking of how far you have come to get to this last phase! I can't WAIT to get where you are You go girl!
I don't think I could have a full understanding of the material without a workshop.... some people do it, but I was overwhelmed. Walked thru all the critical elements, care planning, setting up tools such as a grid and mneumonics to remember steps in care and charting. For me, it was absolutely necessary to attend the workshop!
The nclex will be a peice of cake after this :-)

Good luck.
Just follow your assignments, and document everything you do. Even if it's "I touched the skin. It was warm to the touch and reddened slightly."
However, don't do things that you aren't assigned or you will run out of time!

How much did you prepare in advance for the workshop K? Which one (and where...) did you attend?
I am in Cali and have a new infant that would have to go with me and have a babysitter nearby (for medical reasons) so the cost of the CPNE is going to be less than the cost of a workshop. I am on the fence about taking one. I think it will help, but I'm not sure I can justify the added expense. I will know more after I finish the ls exams.
You can do it, you have lots of support and you rocketed through the exams very well. Keep up the hard work. Can't wait to see GN and then RN after your name.
