COVID-19: Pearson VUE test cancellation

Nurses COVID

Updated:   Published

I understand it. I respect it. I'm just... so sad. Hope everyone's holding on okay. We'll get through this.

UPDATE ! Some of the testing centers are opening back up starting March 25th !! They have changed the minimum and max number of questions (60 min 130 max) and the time limit (4 hrs max) until July . My new date is back to my original date before the closing ! Praying that we all pass because we have been studying our butts off ! Positive energy only .

Well that's an unprecedented move on their part! Looks like testing centers will be limited and all of them in major metropolitan areas only? That could present a challenge to those that would need to travel for the test. At least for those able to schedule the test will be a bit shorter. Not sure if that is an advantage for the stress level candidates have going into that test or not.

I could move mine from 4/29 to 4/20 but would require taking it in Charleston, WV - 3 hour drive - at 8 AM

I just passed my last final of nursing school! Waiting to get my authorization to test e-mail and I'm interested to see how far out I'll have to schedule.

That isn’t a lot of time I’d keep it at April 29th if I were you . My change went from the end of April back to March . Over a month difference . I graduated back in December . If you keep the 29th is that testing center a lot closer to where you live ?

Yes, 20 minutes vs 3+ hours I’m a Dec grad too. 4/20 was the earliest I coujd find with 200 miles. I agree about keeping it on the 29th

I would definitely keep it on the 29th as well. Driving 3 hours would add that much more stress to an already stressful situation. Good luck you guys!

Hey how did it go ?

found out today that I passed!! ? I stayed off my phone to stop from overthinking; I've been so worried after taking it cause it was pretty tough and the moment after the 60th question was so tense. definitely challenging and having the lower minimum really makes you hyperaware of how you're doing throughout. it's easy to overthink/doubt your instincts and I definitely didn't feel confident walking out but now that I'm on the other side it's definitely better to go with what you know to be true and stop deconstructing each answer choice to fit different parts of the question. if you haven't taken it yet, I am rooting for you and wish you good luck!! stay confident in your ability to pick the best answer.
