COT class 10-02

Just a quick question for everyone - What day are you leaving for COT? Are you flying or driving? And if you are flying how are you getting from the airport to Maxwell??

Thanks for the info! I am flying the day of on the 11th in the morning. ALso my recriuter said there should be a government taxi service that will pick us up.... I hope.

Hmm how do we find this government taxi service? Maybe if our flights end up landing around the same time we can meet in the airport and take a cab together. Hopefully they also tell us what building to go to once on base!! Ugg I HATE traveling alone lol...

This may be a ridiculous idea - but does anybody want to try to meet at the airport on Monday and go over to Maxwell together depending on arrival times etc??

Hey USAFhopeful,

So I just booked my flight this AM. I will be leaving from Milwaukee around 7am w a lay over flight in Georgia. It looks like (w all the different time zones) I will arrive at Montgomery sometime around 1120 am. If you could get a flight that arrives in Montgomery at that time I would absolutely LOVE to find you and figure out our situation together! Where are you coming from? On the COT website there was a number that they supplied for military taxi dispatcher. It is 334-953-5038. I talked to my recruiter's manager Sggt Pryan today on the Phone and he stated that there will be someone with signs for COT students for the taxi service and if they were prominately there that we could always get our own taxi service to take us to Maxwell. Also on the COT website it tells you the building we have to report to. I cannot remember the specific number of the building but I printed off the entire website today haha. But I would definately be interested in meeting up with you. Let me know what you think. I am also nervous about traveling alone as I have never done that before! :uhoh3:

Who pays for the flight to COT? Are we as individuals responsible for this as well or does the recruiting/military pay for this?

UTstudent,

When you get your orders, there will be a number on it for TMO. You will call them and they will purchase your tickets. (so the military does buy them to answer your question). If you purchase your own tickets you will only be reimbursed the rate the military would have paid for the ticket. This reimbursement would be paid to you once you arrived at your duty station and filed your PCS with TDY enroute voucher. Hope this information helps!
