I will also be going to scottsdale NTP and Travis as my assignment (my first choice as well). Do you know anything about the scottsdale hospital. Its new? I go to COT on Monday.. eek!

Hey USAFhopeful, So I just booked my flight this AM. I will be leaving from Milwaukee around 7am w a lay over flight in Georgia. It looks like (w all the different time zones) I will arrive at Montgomery sometime around 1120 am. If you could get a flight that arrives in Montgomery at that time I would absolutely LOVE to find you and figure out our situation together! Where are you coming from? On the COT website there was a number that they supplied for military taxi dispatcher. It is 334-953-5038. I talked to my recruiter's manager Sggt Pryan today on the Phone and he stated that there will be someone with signs for COT students for the taxi service and if they were prominately there that we could always get our own taxi service to take us to Maxwell. Also on the COT website it tells you the building we have to report to. I cannot remember the specific number of the building but I printed off the entire website today haha. But I would definately be interested in meeting up with you. Let me know what you think. I am also nervous about traveling alone as I have never done that before!

Yeah I just received my orders in the mail yesterday. I have not called the number for booking a flight yet. Going to do it after this reply. My recruiter says to book the flight on that monday that we start. I was planning on the day before but he says most are coming on that monday.. Anyways I am getting really excited about it. This will definitely test my strength and confidence. I wish I knew what everyone looked like on here so I can see some familiar faces when I get there :)

Thanks for the info! I am flying the day of on the 11th in the morning. ALso my recriuter said there should be a government taxi service that will pick us up.... I hope.

Hey! Thanks for responding. I requested to join the Facebook page. Are you ready for COT? I am really worried about the physical aspect of it seeing as I can hardly do 2 push-ups and my upper body strength is a mess. How is your physical ability? Im just curious if anyone else is in the same boat as I. I have been training for a few months now and I see alot of improvement but its not coming quick enough. Hope I dont fail... eek:confused:

I am also assigned for COT in Jan along with NTP in Scotsdale and My permanent duty station in Travis California! Are you ready for COT? I feel like im not...physically. Kinda of worried about. Very excited for California tho. Are you doing Labor and delivery or medsurg?

Hi All, I will also be attending COT in January... next week Eeek!!! I am too worried about the physical aspect of COT seeing as I absolutely SUCK at push-ups.. I can hardly do two push ups and Ive been doing additional modified to try to bulk up. I am really scared that Im going to fail. I try so hard to the point that my arms get so weak/hurt and give out. Is anyone else in my boat? I hear that Nurses "dont fail" according to my recruiter but I am seriously worried about it.

Has anyone been to Commission to Officer Training for the USAF that can give me any information about it? Things to expect. Helpful things to bring along? I am nervous about the physical aspect of COT. What is it like? Also, Is anyone going to COT January 11th 2010 (next week Monday)? This is when I leave and it would be cool to speak with someone who is also going then. Thanks!

Hello, I see that you have been to COT and have received assignment in Travis? I got to COT in a week and have also been assigned to Travis AFB. I have been looking for someone in the same circumstances to give me any information at all about the experiences I will soon go through. I am nervous for COT. Especially the physical part and would love some input back (if you have time) on anything you think I should know. Is there something I should bring that you found was important to have? Is there anything I can do to become more prepared for this experience? Also how is Travis for you? I am very excited for California! Are you living off base or On? Ive been looking at cities around Travis to live but am not sure how they are as far as crime and stuff like that. If you could email/message me back it would be GREATLY appreciated!
