Left VS Right

I thought this was so cool!!

I can see her both ways. I just need to blink and look away for a sec and she will go from clockwise to counter-clockwise.

I have shown this to others and there are people that can only see her spinning one way. They can't get her to switch directions. One friend looked at it for over 20 minutes and couldn't do it.

Guess her brain is very dominant for that side.

Initially I saw counter-clockwise. Then I looked at it for awhile and see her switch legs every 15 seconds so eventually I can predict each time she will switch legs.

I don't think this has anything to do with being left or right brained.

Not saying it isn't possible to be left or right brained though.

Just my best guess.

Let me know what you guys think.

it's not really a predictor of right vs left brain. just an optical illusion type thing. the image isn't changing every 15 seconds - it's just restarting. there's a slight hiccup so the animation isn't completely fluid. the "direction" isn't changing - it's your brain changing its interpretation. it's kinda fun to see how well you can control what your brain sees. i can get it so she appears to be turning back and forth left to right rather than spinning :)

i can see her go counter clockwise and clockwise. i just focus on her leg and then i see it switching.

Being left-handed (and otherwise very oriented to the left side down to the left eye seeing better), I figured that I would see her turning clockwise, and I did. Like another poster, however, I saw moments of counterclockwise movement when reading off to the left of the graphic.

I can switch it back and forth... What does that mean???

I see her going both ways. I look away for a second and go back and look and then she's going the other way. Weird!

At first I see it turning anticlockwise, but if I focus my eyes on the writing on the left side of the screen, it changes direction to clockwise! The right-sided brain def describes my personality better!

i see her turning clockwise,

however, when i start reading the content on the left, she starts spinning counter clockwise, but only while i'm reading. cool! my husband sees the same as well, when he is reading content she changes direction.

that's exactly what happened to me...when looking straight on - it's spinning clockwise. when i read the content on the left, she spins counter clockwise!

really cool...:clown:

I can see both directions, but I am much more right brained than left.

After watching her go around and around, I'm getting a little motion sickness.

Im glad Im not crazy, she switches sides for me like every 30 seconds. But once I focus on her she stays on one side though, but really that must mean I am equal on both sides.

This was driving me crazy till I saw the post that she switches legs and she does...keep your eye on her left foot, watch it long enough and she will soon spin on her right foot.

As I was at 1st seeing it go counter, then I read the paragraph and looked back and she was going clockwise.

neat, I saw her spinning counterclock wise first then I saw her spinning clockwise.

This was very interesting. When I first saw this along time ago, I was told simply that it was an optical illusion was easily able to see the switch. Today, when I tried it, for the longest it would only go clockwise. This was frustrating because I knew for myself that it could switch. I tried to think of math problems and actually answer them, for me that works. I then saw it go counterclockwise. Then when I said, wow, that's crazy, it went back to clockwise. So, now when I want it to go one way or another, I tried to think of opposite brain functions if that makes sense.
