Conquered NCLEX-RN on July 16, 2012...75 Questions PVT worked!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello to all. I took the NCLEX exam on yesterday and passed with 75 questions! Went to the pearsonvue website about 2 hours later and tried to register and it wouldn't let me. Found out my official results and God is good!

I think they hit me with everything on the test that you could think of. I studied for about 2 months and probably did about 3000 or more questions.

To study I used Saunders Comprehensive Review RN--Highly recommend

LaCharity Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment--Highly recommend

Davis Q & A RN

Lippincott Q & A RN

Nursing Made Insanely Easy

NCLEX RN 4000

Oh and I had everyone that I could think of to pray for me because I TOTALLY believe in the power of prayer. Right before the test I went into the bathroom and said the Lords Prayer! Hey whatever it took. I'm grateful to God because without him I could not of done it. Everyone keep the faith.

Hey! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tested on the 16th too!!!!!!!! and your storyline is just like mine..both study methods and prayers. I just found out today too. It's official! My name is on the FL board of nursing :)

congrats!

did you do all the questions on lacharitys PDA book?

what were your scores?

I'm in Indiana and I took my test on Monday at noon. My name was on the Indiana State Board of Nursing webisite Tuesday Morning at around 9 am. Then I got my Congratulations email Tuesday afternoon. Fairly quick process here I suppose. If you are getting the good pop up I would almost venture to say you passed. Keep thinking positively.

I did all questions except for the case study questions. I didn't score myself. I just did the questions and read each and every rationale. They really helped with prioritizing and delegation. Helped to understand those topics better.

In the first month and a half I did about 75-100 questions a day. In the final 2 weeks before the test I was studying morning, noon and night. About 150 questions a day. In Saunders I went through the entire book and did each body system with corresponding questions. Helped with the content part but on NCLEX I feel it's all about analyzing data and doing some serious thinking. You kinda feel like you're guessing throughout also. Everyone has their own pace and way of studying and like someone else said you're never gonna feel like you're ready. Just study, schedule the test and go for it. You're not gonna be able to study and know everything, just pray you know enough to pass. Good luck to you!

Thanks so much for the tips =) Were you an average or above average student in school? I did get a few As in some courses, but in med/surg I got a C+... but it was also because med/surg was extremely difficult and in my school we were lucky if we passed.

I did Saunders strictly for content review and it helped refresh my memory of things from the beginning and areas we did not cover in nursing school. Kaplan on the other hand help alot. I felt like the questions from Kaplan were a helluva lot harder than what was on the NCLEX. I finished with 75 questions and the majority of those were SATA, which I heard is a good thing.

Good luck and best wishes!!!

Ended the program with a B average. Got mostly A's and B's. I think I got like 2 C's through the entire program. I did fairly well thankfully. Yes I ended up with a C in Med-Surge 1 and 2. I thought Med Surge 2 was very difficult. Got a B in Med-Surge 3.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to me! I just took the readiness test and scored a 57.. grr. I also ran out of time FML and basically went through the last few super fast. When I reviewed it I noticed I got most of the ones I breezed through them wrong - but still, I feel like my brain takes sooo much time to comprehend the question!

Hi All!! I'm just getting around to signing up and posting comments. I took the NCLEX on July 7, 2012 and the computer cut me off at 75. I was sweating bullets after the computer cut me off. I went into the pearsonvue website on Monday, July 9, 2012 and no results. Later that evening the site posted in bright red that my results were available. I really tried to hold out and wait for the results in the mail. I immediately tried to schedule another test and the system told me that I had already scheduled a test and to please contact my Board of Nursing. I went ahead and paid the fee for the results, I just could not take it any longer and besides I did not want to tell all of my family and friends I had passed and not know for sure.

A word of advise... Please take it from me... I know. You can use a million and one NCLEX style classes and or books. The bottom line is you have to be able to use critical thinking. What is the best answer is what it boils down to. Good luck to all!!!

Pearson Vue worked for me too!!! Congrats :) :) i am one happy RN!!
