Hello everyone!

I have read many of the forums and found them extremely interesting. But the more I read the more I get confused.

1 I thought obc (?) officer training class was only two weeks as per my

recruiter.

Hi OLTD,

I thought we only had to pass APFT once we got to OBLC? Then just go through pt in am at oblc and when we got assigned to our unit? How many times am I going to get nervous about the APFT test? Its my biggest worry. Having trouble with self discipline!

Hi 2S44,

Yes, it appears you have to take the APFT a few times. While you are with your unit and at OBLC....

I have been "Drilling with my unit" for the last few months, while waiting for OBLC. (In fact you can wait up to 3 years before being required to go to OBLC....)

So, my unit had it's 2x year APFT test. It doesn't count towards OBLC, so I'll get to do another physical test in a few weeks :)

hope this helps,

Cindy,

I totally sympathize with your APFT concerns... however, it is only a big deal now as it is the only current requirement you have... as soon as your feet are wet it will be superceeded by worries of other things and the APFT will come and go and it will just be background noise in the future... especially after you 'defeat' it...and own it..then it's just another PT session-wahoo!

Howdy Just C.,

I think 2Soliders44 was the one a little concerned about APFT. I completely agree, after one physical test..... you realize it is NOT nearly as daunting as it appears :)

Hi Cathy,

If I am anywhere near a computer (there), I will let you know how it is going....

Otherwise, I will write when I get back.....somehow, I feel like I won't be getting alot of sleep there :)
