Confused about when my green card is coming

As long as it was mailed, it will be coming. And if you notice, the e-mail states to wait a month. Sometimes there are glitches in the system, but you have been approved for one. That is the important thing at this time.

Thank you Suzzane. I was concerned that the dates keep changing and so I wouldn`t know when to start counting the 30 days.

Mine was said to have been mailed on the 16th of July and i received it within 5days. This is so weired because then you don't actually know when to start counting. I would wait until 16th of August and if not received, I'll call then call them.Did you move? I'm not sure the Post office forward USCIS mails to moved addresses. Hope your address has not changed, if it was not delivered, they can return it and re-mail it again. So, I'll definitely call just to be sure my address is right in the first place.

And like stated above, the main thing is that you have been approved. Congrats.

My status says July 11-new card ordered

July13-approval notice sent

approval was received in five days but card was never mailed till today.tried to call them but they says to call after days written on approval notice.My notice is from Texas and says to call after 90 days.i m fed up of US system.

You got notice that you are getting the green card, the letter comes from one place, the actual card comes from another. That is why there is a lag in time.

But if you do not like the US system, you do not need to remain here. There are thousands here that would love to be in your place right now and not caught under the retrogression. Please be extremely thankful that you got that letter at this time.

And what difference does it make to you with what you are doing now if you have the actual green card in hand, or you do not? Not a thing.

But if you do not like something, you are not being forced to do anything. That is your choice to make. What is it like in your country to get thru immigration as a foreigner?

I actually know some folks who got the Green Card first... and then the letter informing them that their petition had been approved arrived afterwords :chuckle

Got my green card in the mail today! Glory to the Lord, He watches over me. Thanks Suzanne and all the people that replied to my thread. Will keep praying for those still caught under retrogression.

I m sorry suzanne.I didnt meant that.i am tired.it was hard to come over here and then hit by two retrogressions and paying attorneys.

it will be one month on august 10th from the day i got update"card production ordered" and then update on 13th july for approval notice.i changed my address online within ten days of my moving but i dont think they updated my address as the approval niotice notice came on old address.plz guide me what to do to get my card.will i have to wait 90 days till i can do anything? or is there any way i can goto local office to get? or do i have to fill I-90 or something.plz help.

You moved, that is one reason for the delay. Give them the thirty days that they always request that you need to wait for the mail to arrive to you. If nothing then, then contact them, and they can get another card produced for you.

You sent in the change of address, but it appears that they never received it, or your notice would have gone to the new address. Just give it a little longer.

Nothing to worry about. This does happen.

You said it all. You changed your address. I want to believe that's where the problem is. I don't think they automatically update your address when it is changed, It takes a little while. Just wait for them to fix they whole thing and then re-mail your card if you report you didn't get it after their "30 days wait" time. You can also call them and ask which address they mailed the card to but i'll think they may have also mailed it to the old address.

You'll definitely get your card once it is approved. So you don't have nothing to worry about. All the best!
