Hi everyone! I noticed that there wasn't a thread yet for CUI's Fall 2021 ABSN program and wanted to start one! Is there anyone else applying?
Thanks for the reply! I emailed them and received an automated email because of Memorial Weekend.
I will copy and paste it here for anyone else who wanted to email:
Hello!
Thank you for your email. CUI campuses will be closed on Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day. If you are emailing regarding the status of your Fall 2021 application, please read below. Otherwise, all other emails will be responded to in the order they were received.
STATUS OF FALL 2021 APPLICATION
Application deadline: Tuesday, June 1st @ 4:30 pm.
All forms and links can be found here. Please refers to the "ABSN Application Procedure" on the same page for details on how to submit all the documents. The best way to check on the status of your application is to review the weekly emails that the Admission Office will send to you after submitting the online application. The weekly emails list each of the documents that are required for your file and if received. Be sure to check your “Spam” folder as occasionally it will be marked as “Spam” by your service provider.
CUI Park Place Campus is currently closed for visitors until further notice. Application drop-off is not an option at this time. All documents should either mailed in or emailed in PDF formats. Refers to the application procedure for details.
If you are mailing your documents, the admission office would highly recommend having the mailing packet tracked (USPS/UPS/FedEx).
If you had recently mailed your documents, all mails will be received by the University's mailroom to be delivered to the appropriate departments. It will take time to process mail, especially during the peak admission period. As long as the mail tracking (USPS/FedEx/UPS) showed that CUI received it on or before June 1st and the packet contains all the required documents, you should be fine.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
Hi,
I know this is super last minute and maybe a dumb question but I started writing my statement of intent thinking that the instructions were to write 2-4 pages per question and answering each question separately in essay format in 2-4 pages each. Tonight I spoke with with a friend who said that sounds like it would be too long and just couldn't be, she interpreted as all the questions answered in 1 single essay that is 2-4 pages. After hearing her opinion it did make sense as I doubt admissions would have time to read 10-20 pages for 200+ applicants.
I showed the instructions to a few other people and some thought read it how I originally thought, 2-4 page essay for each question and some thought my friend was right so I just wanted to double check with you all how you wrote and structured your essay.
Also, I saw earlier in the thread someone saying to send the statement of intent to the email provided, which email is that? Would it be the email for Henny Halim? Just want to make sure which email I should send it to.
Thank you and hope you guys are having a great Memorial Day weekend! ?

I definitely interpreted it as one essay that was 2-4 pages max. That is what I wrote and turned in. They receive so many applicants, I just don't think it's feasible for them to read such extensive essays.
"The complete essay should be at least 2 pages, no more than 4 pages." This is taken from the prompt. I think if it were referring to each essay question receiving its own 2-4 pages, it would say the complete ESSAYS... or something along those lines. I wasn't an english major but thats what I would guess.

How did you submit the statement of intent and prerequisite sheet? What email did you send it to?
Thanks!
The email I sent everything into was [email protected] ?
@Hopefulnurse1613 I followed the instruction where it said the statement of intent had to be between 2-4 pages with an optional 1 page to explain about low grades/GPA & I sent everything electronically via [email protected] as well.

Yes me too. Mine is 4 pages and I just submitted it last night to the nursing email. I'm assuming they follow the same rule as mailing documents which has to have been received before the deadline. I should be okay as long as the email was sent before the deadline right?
@Hopefulnurse1613 Hello! I submitted my essay the same as everyone else, 4 pages max for the complete essay. I think it's great that you're able to clarify the instructions before the deadline. I would hate for anyone not to get considered just because of a disqualification.
@Allison Newhouse Your statement of intent should be okay if you submitted it before the deadline. They said as long as none of the requirements were postmarked after the deadline.
Happy Memorial Day everyone!
Hello!
I should have asked this question way earlier but I just thought it would have been processed by now - so here I am asking it last minute (LOL). I am not sure if this is applicable to anyone else, but I had taken the AP Exam for Psychology during high school and I had confirmation that it would check-off the prerequisite of General Psychology - but I guess for College Board, you now have to send in a request form through mail/fax if the last AP Exam you took was 5 years ago (which is me ?). College Board hasn't been on top of it even though I sent it in weeks ago and says that they are simply "processing" it now. Does anyone know if they have to receive this by June 1st too? Or is it similar to the fact that if you're taking classes this past semester, you're sending in your official transcript for this past semester "later" and then they'll receive it? (rip IDK if that even made sense)... Cause at this point, I'm just about to sign up for a random intro to psychology course during Summer asap.

I just submitted all the requirements a few days ago, aside from my official transcripts for this semester. I had to email Concordia a few times just to make sure they received some of my documents because the tracker wasn't showing that they received them. But they replied that they received it even if it didn't always show on the tracker. You can try emailing them just to make sure they've received your documents if the tracker doesn't update after a few days, especially since the deadline is coming up.
