Anyone applying to Concordia's program in Bronxville, NY for the fall? Haven't seen a thread for it yet!
Hi All,
Hope you enjoyed the orientation! just curious to know what it was about? thoughts on the school/campus/faculty? Also, not sure if you would know the answer to this but was there any mention of the class of fall 2010 being filled? I spoke to the assistant director 2 weeks ago and she said i was put on a waiting list to be interviewed, so not sure how valid that is since i see an orientation is being held.
Thanks a million and i hope to hear from one of you!
Best wishes,
Karen =)
Hi.
The mini orientation was short..approximately 2 hrs long. The dean first spoke and showed us a small presentation on powerpoint. They handed out a folder with some forms and additional information. She spoke about the schedule, the classes, the hospital sites where we will be doing our clinicals, the equipment.
Then the secretary spoke and answered some questions. She mostly spoke about the scrubs that we would have to wear and the equipment that we have to buy.
Then a bunch of students from the class of 2010 were there to answer our questions/concerns about the program.
I think there's another mini orientation on June 30th.
Classes start August 30th. There is a full orientation on August 26th.
Drarshdeep,
I called the financial aid office a few times in the past month also. I always get the same reply. They say that they are working on it and will soon mail out the financial aid packet and information...but they never said a date. I need info regarding loans too. Hoping they will mail it really soon..so I am planning on calling again on Monday.
I didn't get a chance to call them today..but i am gonna call them tomorrow (tuesday) and see what they are gonna say. I didn't get a financial aid award letter. I did not get any type of welcome packet or financial aid packet or anything. so I dont know what is going on until I call them and try to figure it out tomorrow.
I'm sorry...I realized I never replied back to you. I received some info in the mail last week. But when I called..the financial aid office said it would be better if I came and talked to them in person. So I did go this week to the financial aid office..and the lady explained the financial aid situation. It was much easier for her to explain and for me to understand.
Now I just have to fill out some forms and mail it back. But it's gonna be expensive..these 15 months. :/
