Anyone applying to Concordia's program in Bronxville, NY for the fall? Haven't seen a thread for it yet!
I ordered my uniforms early. I followed the measurements online and they were still big on me so I had to exchange it. The lady told me they are out of stock but reassured me I will get them before clinicals start. I didn't get an email though about wearing the ID. I received a letter from Concordia about orientation. It's a 2 full-day orientation Aug 26 and 27. I can't wait to start!
I didn't order my uniform yet. Is it too late? I was unsure of when to order it thats why. Do we have to order the uniform through that company or can we get an uniform just like it from another store? I forgot what they said about this during the mini orientation in June.
Check your Concordia email...I received an email on Tuesday about uniforms and ID badges and other relevant information.
When is everyone thinking of ordering the textbooks?
Ohh I forgot how much they stressed checking that email. Im sure it's not too late to order them now as long as you get it before clinicals. It's good to order early because their sizing is big! I originally ordered an XS and the scrub top was baggy on me. And from what I know, were not allowed to get it from any scrub store. But you can check by calling the school. I also ordered some of the books in that list they gave us..
I actually didn't get it right away because they told me that the uniforms are in back order. You should contact dove apparel to see how long it will take for you. I think it also have something to do with the sizing. If they have your size you might get it right away! Yes I received the ID and lab jacket with it as well. Make sure the lab jacket you get is the right size because they patch it with your name on it. You may not be able to exchange it or return it. Follow the sizing they have online. You pretty much order everything from dove apparel. Just type in "Conc" as the code. It'll show you all of the required stuff - except for the nursing kit. This is optional - it's up to you if you want to get it from them.
I just applied for the 2011 ABSN program and am curious as well. How is the program going?
Also, my boyfriend lives in Brooklyn. I currently live in the south and do not know much about what kind of commute I will be looking at. I am trying to get him to look at something closer to Bronxville, or perhaps closer to Grand Central Station. What are good areas to look into if he works in Manhattan and we are trying to find something within a budget?
