Concorde

HI All.

Im thinking about going to concorde for the LVN program. I know it's expensive, but I know I wont regret it. Later I'm thinking about the RN- bridge program at El centro.

Here are my questions...What test do they give you?? What about the WIA?? I'm kind of confuse with the whole WIA. Some said they pay for your class. Is it true?? Any help would be nice. thanks.:wink2:

This scares me that you say good luck like that LOL. Do you know something i dont know? do you think they will fail to bring this program into fluition

Well, finally went to Concorde. They said they don't have evening class. Since i have to take the CPAT and the NET, most likely I will be attending in January. I'm so confused. Some said they do have evening class and I was told they no longer have evening. :uhoh21:

They are trying to get the evening schedule together, it doesnt start until around January, but there will be 3 part time 18 month evening classes. I don't know who your rep is, but mine is TJ and I speak to her about this all the time.

mine was Bea. I will start in Jan, but was told they only offer days from 8-5. i really want to get into the evening class. thanks.

I went through the very entailed application process over the summer seeking assistance with my fall tuition, just to be told at the last minute that they weren't actually offering any assistance until next year due to lacking funds. I think they should have denied applications in the first place if they didn't have the resources... but whatever. That's my rant. I qualified 100% in every area too. Oh well, loans it is. They said to check back for the Spring, but no promises. When they are assisting, it is for tuition, books, and supplies (uniforms included). I've heard something about transportation assistance for commuters as well. Check in with your local Texas Workforce office. It is a several month process with a number of appointments, paper trails, and tests.

Thanks so much for responding! and I know exactly what you mean. After I found out all it entailed, I said forget it. Loans it is LOL... Are you planning to attend Concorde around January?

I am going to Concorde(In Denver) starting December 11. It is going to JUST S*CK to pay as much as I am for a LPN program but this is how I am looking at it

~I have waited a LONNNG time and I am 24 know and will be 25 when I get out & will be able to finally be able to start my nursing career!

~I will be able to RN with alittle work

~Its 12 months

I think with any program you get what you pay with. I think if you take FULL advantage you will get a good education. I know I have had a few people tell me I am going to be taken for a ride but with that said I WILL be a Nurse in alittle over a year and that is what I have wanted since I was a young girl

It sucks so hard to be me right now. So they got that evening program at Concorde. I'm turning my seat down though. Clinicals on Sunday from 8am to 9pm, every other Sunday. I was so hype, so ready. But im very active in church. I cant miss 2 sundays. Man.. there are many who are going to love to have that seat. No other evening programs around here. I guess it wasn't meant to be. I would have drove 30-40 miles away.. Stays as late as they wanted.. Went to clinicals from Saturday to Sunday morning.. but just not during church... maaaaaaannn.. I am soooo hurt.. I was soooo ready.... but I just can do it....:o

So you would never consider attending Wednesday night church services? It's just a suggestion. You can attend weekend school and still remain active in the church. :)
