Completely online ASN degree that I found.,

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Ok I am a RN and now my husband wants to be one too. So while searching for a school I found an online school called "Must University" And it cost less than 6k to do and a year to complete. Is this too good to be true? Anybody heard this? Its accredited by Accreditation Organization (IAO). Not sure about this. Input anyone??

If a nursing program isn't listed on the NLN or CCNE website I would never consider it.

Specializes in Case Mgmt, Anesthesia, ICU, ER, Dialysis.

RUN AWAY!!! I decided to have a little fun with them, and the first thing out of "Glen Smith's" fingers was: "Ready to enroll?"

To which I responded, "Absolutely not, without some more information. Tell me about your instructor's credentials and how the classes are structured"

They promptly proceeded to disconnect.

You don't want your education from anyplace that doesn't have a strong clinical component, anyway...or you will be LOST LOST LOST when it comes to actual patient care.

Good luck.

Specializes in ER and family advanced nursing practice.

It is a complete scam. Please don't anyone fall for this.

I would be concerned completing your asn with this school, but what I want to know is, if your already a licensed RN and you do their rn-bsn program, will it matter if their not accredited by the proper organizations.

Matter for what? State BONs don't care about BSN-completion programs for licensure purposes; they are only concerned with where you got your original, "basic" nursing education leading to licensure, and completing a BSN later on doesn't affect your license at all. However, if you ever want to go to graduate school, nearly all graduate programs require that you have a BSN from an NLN accredited program.

I agree the program sounds like a scam. I would "run, not walk" away from them.

Specializes in LTC.

i know this post is al little old, but i did research this school through the michigan state boards. here is what i found.

if your school is listed on the non-accredited universities and colleges on the civil service website, the michigan board of nursing will not accept a nursing degree from that institution for licensure: http://www.michigan.gov/documents/non-accreditedschools_78090_7.pdf

this school is listed ont this list. so, you will not be able to take the nclex exam if you go through this school.(at least here in michigan.

Looks like it's in the Philippines, not the U.S.
