Comfy and durable shoes

Published

Hey everyone,

I want to know what type of shoes and insoles do you guys think serve your feet with arch support, comfort (soft foot pad, flex in shoe bed....) durability, closed in shoe of course and looks good. I personally like homy ped and diana ferari which I was lucky to get on sale. I sometimes have lambs wool insoles but only last for about 6 months, they tend to wear down and break up inside the shoe!

Please tell me your thoughts. What do you wear, are they comfortable?.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.... (looking forward to the Chrissy carols on TV)

I wear Birki Pros by Birkenstock and these have been the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. My feet, ankles and calves are never sore and I work in ED running around all day.

I found Portman's good though expensive and I currently have a pair of homy peds. Have tried Crocks but they are not closed in enough for me.

Wish there was a Birkinstock outlet near me

I"m looking for a pair of comfy clogs. My crocs aren't really that safe on slippery surfaces and several ppl at work have had falls and injured themselves wearing them. Management are working to ban them which is probably a good thing.

Would you believe I buy mine from Big W?!! All the expensive ones I have ever bought have never lasted. I think the brand is called Grosbys.

Gwenith, I buy mine from www.bstore.com.au. They deliver nationwide free of charge and in a very timely manner.

My only issue with buying online is that I am VERY difficult to fit - wide feet with a HIGH instep. Can't even get ankle straps to do up let alone anything else so unless I can try them on............

ROFL. When I just came onto this thread, there were adverts for shoe shops up the top!

I love my crocs. I am at the point with my poor wee feet that I can't wear any thing else because of the pain. I should probably see someone..... when I finally get some time off. Was thinking of getting some birkies though. Are they as comfortable as the crocs?

My SO bought me a pair of birki pro's yesterday for xmas. I'm so excited about them i can't wait to try them at work! :lol2:

They feel so much more comfortable than the crocs because they have an insole which gives my foot more support (i have narrow highly arched feet) and the don't feel as large and clunky as the crocs do. They are also slip proof which crocs clearly are not.
