Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Columbia's MDE/DNP program for 2024! Good luck :)!

@Anurseinroute yep, just the preliminary stage. Basically checking off that the admissions office received everything.

Howdy! Just received official notification that my application is moving to tue faculty review phase. Fingers crossed!

Hi!! Me too Rasaan! Got an email asking for a transcript update (bc I still have 2 pre-reqs left I am taking) and then a "decision timeline.” They said decisions will be released btwn Feb 1-15 and we will receive notification of a status update via email and then can log into the portal! Nice to hear some clarity even though the time window is 2 weeks... Hahaha very difficult honestly with other schools needing decisions already by mid Feb!!

Hello there, I was wondering if I still haven't started my prerequisites (2 that I also need and plan to take through Portage Learning) and won't have final grades for those two to submit before Feb, that they'll still be accepting? Im currently saving up for them and plan to complete them before May and I let them know this.

Nice!  My official email from admissions did not include a decision timeline, but when I emailed admissions directly, someone in their office got back to me and indicated that decisions will be out by mid-Feb.   Good to know that the information we are receiving is consistent.  And, yes!  All of this is a little stressful as other school require final decisions around the same time!  We got this! Good luck!

Hey Rasaan, that is good news... so it sounds like the Post BSN DNP applicants will know in the next two weeks (ish)?  I just got the email Friday saying my application was moved into review as well. Which is crazy, I submitted the application Oct 1st haha.

The purpose of graduate study is to solidity the current  nurses status and  improve practice. We all hope for a continued growth in the  nursing profession -  just not secondary off-shoot of NP/ CRNA. , . Suggestions for growth in our nursing profession do not come from NPs and CRNA,  It comes from graduate nurses MSN/DNPs immersing themselves in studies in ANA policy documents, the history of nursing (the Goldmark report,) and Mildred Montag who designed the ADN programs.  She had a burning design to perpetuate the art and science  of the RN at the patient bedside.   Look for an MSN/DNP program  that has a curriculum  that is  devoted  to "where were then then. where are we now, and where we want to go in the future!" Frankly this is the most rewarding course of study and degree

Hi Everyone

I was wondering if we could send updates about our new PCE/HCE hours? Or if they don't consider updated hours after your final application?

Another question I was wondering is how vital our video interviews were? I was extremely nervous and feel like I would perform better with a real interview.

I wouldn't worry about that stuff at this point... those recordings are so awkward for everyone LOL.  I am assuming we should all be hearing in less than 2 weeks?  Fingers crossed y'all and good luck keep us updated if anyone hears anything ?

PRAYING that decisions come out sometime tomorrow!! Good luck everyone :)

tomorrow? LOL that seems ambitious... are you applying doe the MDE/DNP program? if so, when did you receive notification that your application was moved into the next steps with admissions?  Maybe the MDE/DNP applicants find out first..

I know the postBSN DNP applicants just received notification like a week ago and we applied months ago LOL.

Yes I'm MDE/DNP! Submitted app 11/1 and received notification that my app was moved into next steps on 11/17. Then they sent an email out last Saturday that decisions are slated to be published between the 1st and 15th of February... hence my wishful thinking LOL
