Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Columbia's MDE/DNP program for 2024! Good luck :)!
@Rasaan does that mean they are confirming that you passed the first phase of review?
It's frustrating how non-specific the replies are when you email them. When I reached out to admissions she said they don't necessarily reach out before decisions are posted. However according to the screenshot attached, it says we should be receiving an email confirmation once the initial review is complete.
I know I should probably just trust the system and relax!!
*Fingers crossed*
[MDE students - please let me know if these posts are bothersome. I don't want the Post-BS DNP applicants to dominate your forum!! If so, I can always create a new forum. If not, we can all be anxious together LOL] ?

Hey, so the email I received simply stated that they had received all components of my application and that is was being reviewed. The message also said that they would reach out to me if they needed additional information. I am trying not to obsess over this , but it is so hard! LOL!

Hey guys, I am in the same boat as you. I applied 10.01.2023 to the Post BSN - DNP program. It still says application submitted. *I did apply to the MDE/DNP program back in Summer 2021 but was waitlisted, and that application cycle I received an email saying your application was moved into admissions remove around early Dec 2021. So I am just very confused as to why I have received no communication either. Admissions is incredibly slow at responding (if they respond).
Again, I think it is absolutely insane how long they wait to inform students of acceptance considering they start in June! Crazy. Do you guys have any acceptances from anywhere else? I got into DNP at Hopkins which is #1 so I am pretty sure I will attend, also got into Vanderbilt and Emory. Would be nice to return to NYC again but I am not sure I am up for 100% in person program and I doubt they will match the scholarship Hopkins gave me. Good luck to you guys and I hope you hear soon.

Wow! That's quite a group of acceptances! Congratulations! I was recently accepted to SUNY Stony Brook's Pysch NP Program. I only applied to one DNP program-Columbia's. That's my top choice. Hope to hear back from them soon!
@FutureDNPAGPCcongrats on the acceptances and I'm sure having a few back up schools puts you at ease! I only applied to Columbia so.... I hope I get in.
Does anyone know how many seats are typically offered for MDE vs. Post-bs DNP? I believe they have more seats allotted for their MDE students.
Thank you and good luck to you... I believe there on only about 40-50 seats or so for post BSN DNP students. The MDE program is quite a lot if I recall. Hopkins DNP cohort for Adult/Gero is 15 students and I have no nursing experience but I got in! They are all crazy competitive but if you're a good student and have a strong application you'll be fine. I am sure you have a great application and I wish you luck!
