Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Columbia's MDE/DNP program for 2024! Good luck :)!

Hi @NursingM,

I emailed the director of admissions and was told that they are reviewing applications now and we will get emailed an update as our application progresses.

Did anyone just receive an email today from an admissions director thanking them for their interest and inviting you to an information session or to "apply" to the program? Even though you already did?

Yes they are sending those out to everyone that applied

Hi, if we submitted on Nov. 2nd, was this considered on time this cycle?

The deadline was Nov 1st

But they extended the deadline this year right? I recall the director sending an email about an extension for the MDE (non-nurse program). Just wanted to confirm with others who have a copy of that email.

I never received such email. The director did mention the application would be opened till 2 or 3am EST Nov 2nd to give west coast applicants enough time. I'm not sure if you consider that the extension.

I found the email I was referring to in my spam folder! I knew I read something about the extension. Here's what it says,

"Good Morning!

I hope that you are doing well. We have had some people reach out requesting an extension for the application as they have had some technical issues.  As such, we are extending the deadline until Monday, November 6th at 3 pm EST. This is a final deadline for our MDE program...."

So according to this I would (hopefully) have submitted on time.

Oh wow. Yeah I believe you should be okay. I wasn't even aware of the extension. Hopefully, this doesn't mean our decisions will be pushed back.

Has anyone had any updates to their applications? Or know when they will start sending out decisions?

The school is not rolling admissions . Everyone gets a decision at the end of January.

Online it says decisions will be posted in February 2024.
