Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Columbia's MDE/DNP program for 2024! Good luck :)!

Yes I just heard back from the admissions office they said decisions will post February 2024.

Hi All!

I know this is an MDE forum but just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same thing when they log into Columbia's website to 'check the status'. I have submitted my application to the Post-BSN FNP-DNP program (Summer 2024), however I am not seeing all the pdf files I have uploaded. I reached out to the office of admissions to confirm they successfully received all the files, but wondering if this is normal or whether I should be concerned. 

The final application you can download as a PDF after submission shows that everything is present.

Hello to everyone else anxiously waiting. Do we have an idea of when decisions will be posted in February? Possibly by Feb 2nd?

I checked the MDE forum from last year and I saw around Jan 23rd they were receiving acceptance letters. Hopefully its around the same time this year.

I received that email on Dec. 28th. For reference, I applied on the last day.

Thanks Max for the reference! I emailed them yesterday about it. Said they've received my completed app and nothing else needed on their end. Also mentioned decisions will be posted in Feb. Still nervous I haven't received confirmation that the application has moved to the next phase. Hopefully it's just a matter of time and I just need to be patient. My app was due Jan 1st. I wonder if the MDE and Post-BSN Programs will be decided around the same time?

Hello, folks!  Just wanted to join the conversation.  I applied to the post-BSN DNP program with a focus on psychiatry mental health. I have been a pysch nurse for about a year and  I submitted my application way back in September.  My application portal still says "application submitted." I have not received an email saying that my application has moved on to the next phase yet.

I also applied to NYU, Stony Brook and Pace.  It is my understanding that these schools all notify students of their status at around the same time. Hopefully I get good news from somewhere in March! 

Anyone else on here post-DNP in psych?

Hey Guys, It is nice to see there are other post BSN students on here. I was not sure what was going on because there has been absolutely no communication about application status or movement into committee review on my end either. Im shocked they have admissions decisions so late.. when the program starts in June? LOL

According to the website, application notification for the Post-BSN DNP program goes out in February.  Hopefully this is true!  Good luck to all!

Hello everyone. I want to join the the conversation as well. I applied for the BSN-DNP in PMHNP on 12/8. I just heard back from them yesterday that "my application is complete and under review. Decisions are expected to be released around early February 2024". From reading all the comments, I assume they are still working on student applications and forwarding them for faculty reviews. Waiting to hear back from them has been hard ?Hopefully we hear back from them soon in early February ?

Hello Becca,

I submitted my application way back in September of 2023.  I still have not received word that my application is under review. My portal still says "application submitted." Hopefully I receive word soon as to whether or not my application has moved to the next stage of the process! I agree, waiting to hear back has been super difficult!  Sending everyone strength and patience!
