I am starting this super early because I have already begun to freak out lol.
Is anyone applying for the MDE MDE/DNP or MDE/PHD program for 2017?
This is my dream program !!
I am prepping for the GRE at this point which I am taking in August. It has been a long arduous road for me to say the least and I am ready to send my app off with a prayer. Any advice from current/previous students of this program or applicants welcome! And to my fellow applicants what other programs are you applying to? And most importantly good luck to everyone. The application opens August of 2016
I have the same sentiment as everyone... waiting in the worst. I assume due to the program we are all applying for we are all "doers" so waiting and not being able to do anything is no fun for people like us!
Is anyone interesting in the midwifery program specifically?
Two more weeks guys. Why can't they just tell us? The wait is killing me. I tried looking at the website for a list of merit based scholarships, but there aren't many. Anyone have an idea?
Hey RT_2B_NP , I am with you! I really hope to get some good news from Columbia. I have checked for different scholarships opportunities for years. Yes years! There are different scholarships out there. I think Columbia will offer a financial aid package a few weeks after we get an acceptance notification. Once you've received an email from them, will they invite you for an interview?
It's usually the second week of February. And the email will send you to your acceptance decision. No interviews for this program. You'll either get a yes, no, or waitlist right then.

I was under the impression that last year, Columbia told applicants that decisions would be released mid-February, and decisions ended up being released on Feb. 7th. This year, we were told that decisions would be released early February...I'm gonna hope that they keep up their trend of releasing decisions earlier than expected! The wait is killing me!
Earlier the better. I have a spot in the NYC marathon this year and I have to decide whether or not to keep it by Feb 17th. I think school will dictate...haha....I need to find out!!
It's so funny. I was taking three prerequisites last fall, plus working full-time. Then, the week after classes ended, I had hip surgery. So, I didn't have a chance to think about The Wait until mid-week last week. Now that I'm waiting it's the worst!!!
