Hey everyone. I was just wondering who applied to Columbia University's ETP program.
I got an email today telling me to keep logging into the website where I applied to check on the status of my application. Has anyone else got this email? And does anyone know approximately when they begin to post decisions?
I'm nervous as this was my #2 school.
My deadline is 2/28. Also, the housing stuff isn't going out until the university gets the deposits, so they have a better idea of who to expect..... at least that was the impression i got from housing.
Also I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet either... maybe they're going mostly through email this year. Check your filters - my admissions email from Judy Wolfe got caught in my spam filter!!!
Hi freyalisa, thank you. I emailed Oscar, but he said there is nothing he can do. :crying2:
Hi dohzen,
I got similar award as yours. 70K in parents plus loan! my parents are not happy at all. Did you receive any Unsubsidized loan? I got quiet depressed about the package. I am looking into 50K-70K in private student loan since there is no way my parents will take much loan.
Hi everyone. I've been following the boards for a while now but I held off on registering until now because I am pretty much facing a personal financial crisis for getting through these few months before registering. And ironically, I was thinking that the financial aid package would waylay my worries for the time being.
Do any of you know an Online university that offers reasonable tuition for Anatomy and Physiology? I reserved a seat in the UPhoenix Online classroom, but that would set me back about 2,000 and I was really hoping to pay a little less, because it would literally be taking food out of my mouth!!!
I got an email from Oscar the other day asking me to send him additional info that was missing from my FAFSA, so I haven't gotten any financial aid info either. I had emailed him at earlier point asking what we should do if we were to receive a package which was insufficient. He said that you would have to file an appeal, and that the whole thing was negotiable. But from what I am seeing here, it seems like it is sort of written in stone.
Hey Freyalisa-- have you heard from UVM at all? I haven't heard, thought they were supposed to mail out the letters this week... I applied there as well, being that my 'rents are still in VT... it would def be a LOT cheaper... but it's like about 1 year longer than Columbia!! ughs....
so is everyone accepting the Award $ from columbia and declining later if you change your mind?
also, is anyone on the ETP page on Facebook?
Hey stiejunky, i was told this week too and didn't hear anything! Very frustrating. I don't think its a lot longer than Columbia - 1 year pre-MSN, and 2 years MSN as far as i know..... it would be a lot cheaper. I am wrestling with UVM - it would be a lot cheaper, but i have this desire to get out of Vermont, so i'm not sure - i just wish I knew whether I was in, so I could know my options!

Try CCCOnline for A&P, it might be a bit less
I don't believe Columbia gives any more assistance than what your financial aid package offers. They are constrained by government regulation on maximum stafford availability and by funding to the school.

Oh great, the deadline is next week and I haven't even gotten it yet.
Doggiedad, I haven't gotten anything at all from Columbia either. Jose said that they weren't mailing any letters and that we could print the one online, but did anyone get anything on housing?
