Columbia University ETP Program 2013

U.S.A. New York

Published

The thread here for the Columbia University ETP program for entry in 2012 is pretty long (45 pages right now!), so I was hoping to elicit some of the same responses for those who are applying in 2013. Let's get to know each other!

Why are you applying to Columbia? What have you heard about the program- good, bad or ugly? Are you nervous, excited, ambivalent?

Looking forward to getting to know some of you!

Is anyone else still waiting for their application to change from "Submitted" to "forwarded for processing"? I submitted on Oct 10th and was told they received my transcripts and GRE scores...

SuebNP,

I assume you mean on the applyyourself.com website, and then clicking on the sidebar "check your application"? Yes, I am waiting for the application status on there to change as well. Though I was unaware that the status would or should change. I submitted mine on 10/10 as well.

I am very nervous because I applied for the CRNA specialization and heard (after reading on here after I submitted my application) they only take 10 people this year. What did you apply for?

best of luck to you though, I hope it is all in our heads and we are stressing out over nothing.

Mine has said this from the time they sent me the link to check my status. I don't think it is going to change until decisions are made.

LaurenMW,

Which concentration did you pick? I wonder if it makes a difference.

I applied for the psychiatric/mental health program. They emailed me with a link to check my status the very next day (or maybe two days later). Not sure if specialty is a factor but it could be!

I have no idea either. Knowing me it is all in my head. Any one want to diagnose me :)

Haha. If you're hearing voices, that's a definite sign! Best advice is to sit back and breath. I didn't hear about my acceptance this year until early February. I believe early decisions were made sometime late December.

dedicatedone and CU2012, thank you for your responses! :)

Hi Steve,

Yeah, I was referring to the Check your application portion. I applied to the FNP specialty. It's strange though, when I submitted, I received an email confirming my submission, but I didn't receive a link to check the status of my application. Mine still says "Submitted," but leaves out the "fowarded to Admissions Committee for review" that LaurenMW's says. Just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat. I'm sure it's fine. Fingers crossed!

Oh ok. I guess We are in the same boat then.

Hi Everyone. I've applied to CUSON's 2013 ETP program with a specialty in Women's Health. Anyone else?

Did anyone else get the email that says "We have resolved an error that occurred and your application can now be submitted." ? I'm so confused because I submitted my application in early October.
