Columbia SON MDE 2019

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to start this thread for those who are all applying to the Columbia School of Nursing MDE program for 2019 Entry.

I figured we could all share our thoughts/ questions/ concerns here, or just use this to meet some new people ?

My name is Gurdeep, I'm from NY, and I'm a recent Grad from Binghamton University. Looking forward to meeting all of you ?

is the MDE scholarship the same amount for everyone?

Got in to MDE/DNP for Family with scholarship as well! Also does anyone know what the total cost for this program is?

Congrats! When I went to the virtual open house we were told MDE only was 110K and the DNP was roughly 160K for a total of 270K in tuition alone.

Accepted into MDE/DNP for Psych !

Anyone offhand know next steps to get started for Grad Plus loans and/or outside forms of financial assistance?

Online the tuition rates for Columbia adds up to about 185 for MDE/DNP (i may be doing my math wrong). Do you recall if the number presented at the open house added cost of living hence I higher number? Also, anyone have Any idea how Columbia tuition compares to Yale?

Did everyone get both the MDE and MDE/DNP seamless scholarships? How much did you all get?

yes, it is.

My scholarship was 15k for the MDE, and 40k for the seamless into DNP.

I would've liked to see the full 27k for the first portion (considering I'm already broke), but it is what it is and I'll find some way to make the entirety of it work.

What else did everyone else get?

I agree, we should start a FB page. For full SoN or by specialty (or both)?

It's a different amount from last year though.
