Columbia MDE 2022

Published

I know the application hasn't opened yet, but wondering if there was anyone else thinking of applying to Columbia MDE/DNP programs for June 2022 entry?

Egh I just think it comes down to getting the application in early and luck and who you “know” … everyone that applies for the most part has what it takes to get in… they tell you the minimum requirements to apply…  there’s just a limited amount of spots.

Wow- who you "know"? I know absolutely nobody. I'm from the opposite side of the country, hoping this is not a disadvantage for those of us who are not fortunate enough to have connections.

I know that they make an effort to admit a geographically diverse cohort.

Merry Christmas! (For those who celebrate). Strange question… did any of you have to submit “official” transcripts for the Columbia program? Now that I am thinking of it… I never was asked to submit official hard copies or official electronic copies… thought that was somewhat strange… only uploaded “unofficial” electronic versions in the  application.

Hey merry Christmas ,

I’m pretty sure once you get accepted into the program, then they will ask you to upload your official transcripts and other necessary documents.

So you didn’t upload any official either I’m guessing?

Happy New Year Everyone (well almost). This is by far the quietest group so far!

Hoping we all get some info next week regarding decisions.  This wait is grueling… Fingers crossed.

While the website and admissions always state: “February for decisions”. Decisions always seem to come earlier for each year.

Here is some digging around I did to find some previous years of acceptance dates (this info will be helpful for eager minds of applicants on future threads too ).

2021 - seemed to be in 2 rounds, first Jan 6th (Wed) and then second Feb 26th (Friday)

2020- Jan 27th (Mon)

2019- Jan 25th (Friday)

2018 - Jan 30th (Tuesday)

2017- Feb 2nd (Thursday)

What you guys think?

good luck to you all! ??

My decision in being quiet is for the most part just trying to ease my anxiety by not thinking about it. ? Replying from in my bed with COVID (and prob only replying bc in my bed with covid) closing my eyes and hoping decisions come out soon. LOL

I hope this years isn't 2 rounds OMG... I don’t think I could wait another month and we're all probably on the same boat. Why two rounds anyways? Did they release that info last year?

Oh jeez. I hope it is mild… Feel better!  Seems like everyone is getting sick (I’m over in NY) it’s bad.  I received all the info I posted based off all the old threads… yes… I went through all of them… LOL. I have a lot of time to kill. I’m isolating too can’t afford to be sick atm.

My anxiety is gonna kill me before the letters come out

Maybe Columbia will be kind and post decisions this Tuesday when they come back… or by the end of the week.  Wishful thinking.  ????   Last year it was Jan 6th but the second round was not till the very end of February which is just cruel to make anyone wait that long.

Haha same. Do any of you know if we would get our financial aid packages at the same time as the admissions decisions?

Also, am I the only one that keeps checking the application management portal even though I know it's completely futile?
