Columbia MDE 2022

I know the application hasn't opened yet, but wondering if there was anyone else thinking of applying to Columbia MDE/DNP programs for June 2022 entry?

From all the past threads that’s another thing that seems to be “variable” as well. It appears that it will come with your decision/email. From what I’ve seen/heard.  They usually will indicate if you were awarded scholarship for the MDE portion and if you applied/admitted into the DNP portion they will also indicate if you received a seamless scholarship as well.

Does anyone know if their admissions office is open in person this coming week? (or if they are on COVID leave?) I know the regular university is on a 2 week remote return to campus.

Oh jeez. Yeah I didn’t even think about that… that could delay things. Then again I think they were on Covid remote schedules when they released decisions jan 6th 2021. So who knows.

I saw that the office of student affairs is reopening on Tuesday, maybe admissions is the same?

Just realizing now.. that last years cycle had an excess (over 150) of applicants than CUSON typically receives… which is why they decided to do a two round cycle of admissions decisions. Which explains why they had an early date of Jan 6/7th for their first round. Applicants received an email in October 2020 letting them know about this...  (From what I read on the thread last year).  

Which now leads me to believe we will be waiting till the end of January like the other years have?  ?  considering we were never told there was a high amount of applications this year… no one received an email regarding this right?

I haven’t received any email yet. I have thought about emailing admissions and asking if they could give an estimated date of when we should hear back. I mean it wouldn’t hurt to ask, right? ?

I was thinking of taking one for the team and asking too... ? I tried calling but they are still out.

Yeah I think I’m going to do it ?. I really want to know. Hopefully, they reach back out soon.

As far as I know, for this year, they said February. Any decisions sent out before Feb would just be a bonus, but not something I'm expecting. Housing applications open Feb 1st for the MDE program, too.

Hopefully we all hear sooner. The good news is the MDE program opened in 2016 and Every year they said “February” but it’s always been earlier for decisions…. So fingers crossed guys.
