I know the application hasn't opened yet, but wondering if there was anyone else thinking of applying to Columbia MDE/DNP programs for June 2022 entry?

Hello I am trying to apply for this cycle too but just for MDE and patiently waiting for the open application!!

I went to a Q+A recently and I think they said they would have the application open by mid July so fingers crossed!

Heyyy everyone OMG finally a forum is posted here! I am either thinking of applying to this program joint with DNP or I go to NYU. 

Yes their website said the application cycle would actually open mid-June but that didn’t happen LOL. Let’s hope by maybe next week they’ll open it up!

Hey I’m logged into my account with Columbia however for me it still says it’s unavailable. When I click start new application it says “Thank you for your interest in Columbia Nursing. Our application is currently not available. We will e-mail you once it is available.  If you have any questions, please e-mail our office at [email protected].  We look forward to working with you in the future.”

Hey!

That’s so strange; I already started my application. When I logged in earlier and clicked “start new application”, I had a few options available including MDE and MDE/DNP/PhD.

same as mine, I am still not able to start the application yet.

I messaged admissions and they said it wouldn't be available for a couple of weeks ?

Hey all, 

I’m maybe interested in applying. Do you guys know if you’re doing MDE only or MDE/DNP? 
 

I missed the Q and A session. Do you know if/when there will be another one? 
Also, must we shadow a NP before applying to the program? I have found doing that near impossible during this pandemic. Anyone else with better luck?

I am going to apply for the MDE/DNP program! I am fairly sure they said that no hospital experience is necessary to apply, they like to see people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences as they look at the application holistically (if anyone else went to one of the info sessions, please correct me if I'm wrong!). For the info sessions look at the Columbia Nursing website under About Us - Events, they have a calendar of all the upcoming info sessions
