Hello!
I know this is a bit early, but I'm planning to apply to the apply to the Columbia Entry to Practice Program (among a few others) this fall. I've seen similar forums for past application periods, and thought it might be nice to get one started so we can start to bounce ideas and questions off each other.
Has anyone been to an open house? Any information worth sharing?
I'm really hoping we get our financial aid packets soon...
I really would love to go to Columbia, however, the total price of attendance including living costs is absolutely outrageous Might end up going to another school just based off the scholarship I receive
Anyone else freaking out about the costs?
v.lam827 I feel you there. Totally freaking out, especially because I heard we only get 25k in federal loans (or something along those lines) so the rest has to be private loans I don't have any debt from undergrad, so I'm sure I can deal with it, but it's still insane how little funding grads get from Columbia. Makes me really upset. I'll be visiting campus next week (and MGH in Boston- can't make either visiting day) so I'm going to make an appointment with the financial aid office and ask how all of this is even going to work. I'll post info when I have it!
Does anyone have the slides they showed from going to an open house, that they wouldn't mind emailing me? [email protected]
Can someone forward me the slides also? [email protected]
Thanks! :)
Hello all,
I am new to this thread but have followed some of the past conversations and want to thank everyone for their honest input. For those accepted, congrats! And for those on the waitlist...I am right there with you. I believe we will hear back soon after the deadline.
I was wondering if anyone on the waitlist has contacted the department and could share any helpful information they received? I briefly spoke with the recruiter in my area and asked if we were able to know how many spots are on the waitlist. She politely told me that they were not able to disclose this information so I am still very curious of the odds.

@sewells09 UCLA MECN :)
and I'm a UCLA undergrad right now, will be done in 3.5 weeks!! Staying here is more convenient in terms of location (my family lives in California) and price for me :)
