Hello!
I know this is a bit early, but I'm planning to apply to the apply to the Columbia Entry to Practice Program (among a few others) this fall. I've seen similar forums for past application periods, and thought it might be nice to get one started so we can start to bounce ideas and questions off each other.
Has anyone been to an open house? Any information worth sharing?
Hey emara9,
Funny enough, I am from San Francisco! It is not fun to have a car in the city, you often have to pay for parking as there is so few free spots. However, if you live outside SF (which is likely as San Fran is more expensive than New York now) it is not hard to have a car.
I would recommend living in Oakland, and that way you can commute to the city on bart when you do not have to drive in.
Thank you all for the housing info! I guess I will try to not worry about it until they put out decisions....but that's good to know that cars aren't required. I would really not look forward to driving my car from CA to the east coast before the program! Anyone think there's a possibility we will find out today? In the past it's been around the first weekend of Feb, I think. I'm trying to focus at work but it's hard!

Hi everyone! I've been following this thread for a while now and wanted to jump in on the action. I have to admit I'm TERRIFIED for decisions to come out! Hopefully we'll all get good news, best of luck to everyone!
