Hello!
I know this is a bit early, but I'm planning to apply to the apply to the Columbia Entry to Practice Program (among a few others) this fall. I've seen similar forums for past application periods, and thought it might be nice to get one started so we can start to bounce ideas and questions off each other.
Has anyone been to an open house? Any information worth sharing?
Totally know what you guys mean. I'm having a hard time sleeping because my mind keeps spinning about how bad I want admittance to Columbia. I keep having this horrible feeling that I won't get in. I got a master from Columbia and for some reason I think because I already got in once, I won't get in another time. Crazy, but it's just a feeling!
Anyone else tempted to call? Staking the last forum for Columbia I saw people called. . . Not like they'd tell us anything definitive but this anxiety is killer. I have class today and I'm on a 3 hour break alone with my thoughts and no homework to do - dangerous thing for my imagination!
Ya, I have read the post from past years and people always call, and admissions always say "by mid February." One year, someone called only hours before decisions went out and they still said "by mid February." I bet they get some kind of sick pleasure knowing we are all loosing our minds!
I'm sure most of the decisions have been made by now, if not by the end of this week. Either way, we'll know by next Friday, and I hope all of us in here get in. I am tempted to call as well, but I doubt I will get any new information. Most likely they will just respond with "by February 15th" so I don't want to waste my time.
Now that all of this is becoming real, I'm seriously starting to worry about how to afford a direct-entry program hahaha. Living expenses, school, and not working... I know I can figure it out, but I guess it just comes down to loans and grants? Is that what people are planning on doing?

Yup. I may have to take out a living loan [emoji25] but I will hopefully find grants so I have to borrow as little as possible.
