Columbia ETP 2016

Hey Everyone!

My name is Esmeralda and I too applied for Columbia's program. However, I'm interested to know if anyone also applied to MGH IHP Fall 2016? I've looked through different posts regarding MGH IHP, but I haven't found a brave soul who's shared with Allnurses followers whether or not they've applied. Aside from that, how's everyone holding up?

I applied to MGH IHP, in addition to a ton of other programs as well (ABSN, MSN, MEPN, etc.....)

Thankfully, we'll know in less than a month....the wait is terrible, but we will all know very soon. I only applied to Columbia and Yale, and I already got rejected by Yale, so I hope to hear good news from Columbia..keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi Esmeralda! I have also applied to MGH for their direct entry nursing program. I recently received an email on January 15 that my application is complete for review.

Nothing new for Columbia yet. I went to an info session for their program and the admissions rep did say we will hear back by early February. Fingers crossed we all get good news soon!

I applied to MGH IHP as well, and a ton of Boston direct entry programs. Columbia keeps looking like my number one though, and I haven't heard from anyone yet.

I'm hopeful that they'll release their decisions before THAT weekend, considering Friday and Monday are holidays. The suspense is killing me! I never received an email from MGH IHP that my application had been completed, rather I logged in and saw it on the portal. Is Columbia everyone's first choice? and what department did you all apply to?

I'm hoping columbia releases decisions in the first week of Feb since their app was due so early. MGH is actually my first choice, even though I am from NY. I think the price of Columbia is a little too high

My first choice is actually UCSF, which I got an interview for next week for psych/mental health NP track. Columbia is a close second though! I also applied to MGH, the only communication I got was an incomplete application email a few days ago, because my unofficial transcript was bad quality (due to the size limit of the documents) so I had to send them a better one. So, I guess that means they're being reviewed!

My anxiety levels are definitely on an all time high. I was trolling through the past year's posts and they were notified within the first week of Feb. But the applications in previous years were due November, so I'm thinking we may be notified the beginning of next week. Clearly all of you are doing way better than myself. I'm not sure I've ever been this anxious...

-emara9, best of luck on your interview!!! I've heard great things about UCSF. I was considering applying there too, but decided against it. Kind of tired of the UC system and California which is why I chose to apply out of state.

Hi Esmeraldap, Columbia sent out an email on financial aid which said we would find out by Feb 15th, so not too long to wait now! I also got into MGH, have you posted to the thread for the 2016 ABSN cohort?

I haven't! I actually applied to the Master's Entry Level, I completely forgot about the ABSN deadline
