Columbia ETP Program 2012 entry

Hi,

I plan on applying for the anesthesia program at Columbia and I wanted to know how the background of those that have been accepted look like to see if I'm even competitive enough apply.

Anyone else semi nervous for tomorrow??? What if we actually get notified tomorrow? Kinda freaking out being on this board. I blame it for my lack of sleep.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I have an inkling it might be today! If it is I assume it will be right before the end of their work day...closer to 3 or 4 PM (similar to ED). We shall see!

So it wont be today :( I talked to a women in the office and she said that they have been telling people the next two weeks, but they really hope by the end of the next week, but no gaurantee

Early Decision applicants that were deferred:

I just took a look at the decision letter that was at the bottom of the application page. It seems that the letter has been changed even though the date is still the same. Let me know if that's the case for all of you guys as well. Thanks!

Hi All,

I've been periodically reading this thread but haven't posted here before. I also logged in to the system to see the decisions that seemed to have been posted. After doing so I called the Admissions Office and was told the following, "Decisions should not have been published yet. They are still being finalized. Emails telling you to log in to check should be sent in a couple of weeks."

So, take that for what it's worth. She didn't indicate that an acceptance today would still be one in a couple of weeks. But, she didn't indicate the opposite. It looks like they have taken down that part of the website, even making it impossible to view the Early Decision letter that was there before.

No. Looks like they just took it off their website. Did you or anybody?

ahh! They took mine off the website too. Was the letter the same, or did it say you had gotten in/denied?
