I wanted to start a thread for any perspective applicants for Columbia's Anesthesia program for 2020. I submitted my application last week and wanted to hear if anyone was called for interviews yet.
My stats: ADN 3.7 BSN 4.0 CCRN, CMC, CRNI, BLS/ACLS instructor, recently promoted to unit clinician. 2.5 years of Cardiac ICU in a large level 1 teaching hospital. (of note: went to school close to 10 years and have poor grades)

I’m sure they know that we are anxious and can’t wait to hear back. I think if it’s going to take them much longer they will reschedule interview dates. Good luck!!
I submitted my application on 9/15 and received an email on 9/16 that my application was complete and submitted to the committee for review. Have not heard anything else yet.
2 years pediatric cardiac ICU in large metro children’s hospital; 3.72 entry-level MSN GPA; 3.46 undergraduate GPA with science-heavy major; CCRN, ACLS, PALS; I’ve completed all pre-reqs.

Did anyone get any kind of response? I'm guessing they might change the interview dates. Or contact us last minute next week since we know the dates, they are assuming we should be available.
I just called the office of admissions — they said that interviews are still scheduled to begin on October 3rd and 4th, and that interview invitations will be going out “any day now.”
