Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hello,

I wanted to create this forum for all LVNs applying into the bridge program at Collin College. Hopefully we can keep one another updated and level headed during this process. Please comment below, we can provide each other with needed info, admission emails, TEAS scores and program points.

I'm so anxious the wait to find out is going to feel like forever!

Me too! When do you think we'll find out? I think the application closed in March last year, and they found out in April. I'm hoping that means we will find out in March.

we are all in in the same boat, I think we should expect to hear from them by the end of this month or beginning of April.

Yes they said 4-6 weeks and we'll know via email

What do you guys have as far as points? I think I have a 21.6 I got an 87 in the reading and a 67 in the math.

I think I'm in that same 21 range as well

Does anyone know how many they take, and if they take alternates?

I think they are taking around ~50 students. I'm sure they will have an alternate list.
I got an 85 composite score on the TEAS (87 reading, 100 math, 79 science, 78 English). I hope it's enough. Not sure how many points I have total

I don't know how did u count your points, I got 86 TEAS score( 79 reading, 97 math, 86 science, 84 reading)

There was a piece of paper that you could fill out on their website that counted your prerequisites as far as your GPA, and you got a certain amount of points for that. Then they accounted for what percentage you made on the TEAS. If there is a tiebreaker they go in between the science and the reading scores.

Specializes in LVN Women's Health/Little bit of everything.

I have 21 points as well

It's a sheet on the website that shows you how to calculate your points. It uses 10% of your TEAS score, then you get points for whatever you made in A&P1 and 2, plus Micro. If it's a tie between two people they'll then use you science and reading scores, it's still on the school website under lvn to RN program etc.

Has anyone heard anything?
