Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hello,

I wanted to create this forum for all LVNs applying into the bridge program at Collin College. Hopefully we can keep one another updated and level headed during this process. Please comment below, we can provide each other with needed info, admission emails, TEAS scores and program points.

That might help you. It seems that a lot who were accepted had already been taking classes with Collin.

I actually was accepted haven't taken zero classes at Collin before I'm a transfer student. So it all depends on Collin unless I was just lucky.

Hie guys update I finally got my acceptance letter today ????.How is the program going for you guys ?any tips I should know before I start ?

For those that's currently in this program how many times do you all have to go to class/clinical is it possible to work while in this program? What's the grade you need to make in theory courses to progress in the program? How many students they accepted for the cohort?

Our first semester we were in Clinicals about 4 or 5 weeks. We had lecture on Mondays, skills was broken up half of us were Tuesday's and the other Thursdays. Then an additional day for Clinicals or SIM. You have an online class with the first semester as well. You must also complete service hours aka volunteering every semester.

You have to make a 70 to continue to the next semester. I don't recommend aiming for that though. Our group started I believe at 44 students and we are down to 39. I am unsure how many our in the group behind us. The first semester has a lot of assignments, mostly through the ATI program they use. You also have to complete the Skills, which has 3 validations you must pass to move forward. If you fail any of them you will not continue through the semester with the exception of attending Pharm.

You can work but need to be able to have a flexible schedule.

Thankyou so much is it pretty doable?

Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me what was the average number of points needed to get accepted?

Thank you.

Every one currently in the 3rd bridge had mixed test scores. Some really high and a few that were lower. It's the combination of all the requirements. How were your prerequisites grades?

I had an A in micro and A&P2, with a B in A&P1. Not sure if psych is calculated, but I had an A in that class as well. All my other  required classes for this program I have As. My TEAS score is not the greatest, that's what I'm worried about. I have a total of 15 points without TEAS.

I don't know if there is a way to message me off this site or through this site, I could probably offer you more help.
